Abuse is forgivable!
I had Hope's for this book. I like the forced into marriage type books (whether business related or mates or something), but this was not at all done in the right way. I'll admit, I didn't finish the book, but that was because I just couldn't. I really tried; I read 5 more chapters than I really wanted. Zanthus is extremely abusive. It doesn't matter if he is an Alpha werewolve. It doesn't matter if he has an abusive history. There is no excuse for what he did in the beginning of this book. And, she seems to just forgive him when he doesn't even do anything to apologize.

The actual writing was okay. It could be really quick at times without full understanding why the characters were doing such things or changing how they acted before. The grammar was mostly good, but it did have my pet peeve (writing "should of" instead of "should've": of is a preposition while have is a verb to be so they are not interchangeable).
I think a totally different plot by this author would be pretty good. But this plot (or what I read of it) was just sending and awful message in my opinion. Abuse doesn't get better in time. People should not get a free pass because of it. At the very least, it should have been addressed.
