Ha! I like it. I lik,e it so much, in fact, that I won't make a 'still a better love story than Twilight' reference. Well, maybe just one. I'd definitely reckon you'll never see the phrase, "Pour the zucchini!' in another horror story. Well written, well thought out ... well done!

His wife and his best friend are killed, but hey; he has peace and quiet so he can write. Is it bad that I can identify with this guy? In any case, great little spook written impeccably well, in my opinion.

Very nice horror story that I can't help but read in my head with the voice of Otis Jiry (and I recommend the author submit this to him or the Chilling Tales for Dark Nights group for future reading). The setup is nice, and the twists were cleverly done. I do have one small critique, however; I feel the final sentence could be removed, as the preceding sentence's sting seems more poignant without it. Other than that, fantastic spook fit for any late night campfire gathering.

Little spooky tales like this (or just 'spooks' as I like to call them) remind me of the campfire stories of my youth. They don't have to be big, they don't have to be complicated, they just need that 'boo' moment. They need to be the sort of story you could imagine kids whispering at night. This fits the bill just perfectly; well done.
