I'm so sorry about your friend. I roleplay, too, so I know exactly how close you can get to not only the people you roleplay with, but the characters you create.
You could leave this as a stand alone or you could continue it. Both would be fine. I suspect another chapter of it would be just as beautiful as this one was.
