From my level of perception

From my level of perception:
“Unreliable and careless teacher” describes his everyday professional life and school routine, exposing the problems of the modern school.
The author successfully conveys the declared character: the protagonist's narration is replete with insignificant details for the plot, which I consider a description of the math teacher’s mentality since the main character is a math teacher by profession. Small circumstances matter the most if you spend your life correcting the mistakes of others. That is probably a professional habit of many teachers; I dare to guess.
The book may seem boring to people who love the intensity of events and read for the sake of an emotional shake-up. Compared to the amount of attention to detail, tragic events get mentioned in passing, as if inadvertently, which evokes the reader to think of Stan’s passive insensitivity and restraint of emotions. Although, the book makes us reflect on the problems of the modern education system.
The quality of the writing is reasonably acceptable, and the style is friendly and trusting: the main character’s western man’s ironic sense of humor is present on every page.
The ending is unexpected, and, in my opinion, there should be more of the story after chapter fourteen. Even if the protagonist explains his story as an attempt at psychological relief, the story may still seem unfinished to the general public.
The plot is interesting, and the story has strong potential. I would recommend a rewriting.
The book surely can make its way from good to great.
