Amazing!

This book so far has a lot of character! It is unique and I love the authors writing style. It doesn't fit the typical story telling style and I love it! The characters are so fleshed out and they stay within the persona they are given. It is a very strong Start! Some of the paragraphs are really long, especially in the chapter that explains the background. However, it really doesn't take away from the story! I am really excited to see where this goes!

Amazing!

I really liked it a lot. Most of it was east to read and understand. Its not all too in your face and its a quick read if you have time to sit. I really loved how it was easy to understand the world, especially since a lot of the times I get lost when the world's are created. The only part where it got difficult for me to understand and follow were the flashbacks. I had to make sure that I understood what part was the flashback and what was part of the current story. Once I got the hang of understanding their placements and relevance to the story, it got easier for me to follow along in the later chapters. I really liked the imagery and descriptions, it was well thought out and you can tell time was taken in plotting out the story! I'm excited to read the sequels!

Great start!

So far the story is really intriguing. I love the characters that have been introduced so far and they have really good, solid personalities already. I cannot wait to see more from these characters as the story starts to flesh out some more. I really like the authors writing style. It is not hard to follow but it gives a good insight into the characters thoughts and feelings. Wonderful start!

Good start

The idea behind the story is nice and sweet so far as Ethan takes a stroll down memory lane. Although only two chapters are out so far, it feels like it will be a nice love story probably with some twists and turns. I have a few gripes about the writing style, however. The change from third person to first to second is a little confusing and hard to follow. I would chose to stick with just one of the POV versus all of them. There are a few run on sentences, especially in the first chapter. During the second chapter it was hard to differentiate between thoughts and dialog sometimes, maybe add some markers? Overall, this story has some good potential to grow and be a strong story. With some revision and editing it can be great!

Great Story!

The story so far is great! The development of the characters, their stories, personalities, and relationships are at good pace. Both Max and Sarah are well rounded and feel real instead of just a flat character in a novel. The passion behind the story and everything in there is so obvious that it makes the story so much better! The connection and feeling of the author portrays so well through the characters that it is hard not to feel the same. The only thing that personally bothers me is how the dialog is done. Using apostrophes instead of quations marks isn't my favorite, but it doesn't take away from the story and is more of a preference than anything else. I cannot wait to read more and this is such a beautiful story! I am a nut when it comes to historic set stories and will always be a little biased. Great job!

Wonderful!

I am so captivated by this story! I love the dynamics, how individual each character is and their personalities. Everything feels good, vivid, and well thought-out! It was sometimes difficult for me to follow when each POV switched in the beginning but as I got to understand and know each character, I could follow along much easier. It is a wonderful story and I can only hope it continues to get better and better! Great work!

Great read!

I have really enjoyed the story so far. The pace is good and it doesn't feel rushed or that it is dragging behind. The descriptions of building this world is great! I have read many stories where authors struggle to paint the picture in their heads of the word and characters, but this is not one of them. It is immersive and although sometimes the chapters seem too lengthy, it doesn't feel like it is wasted. The style of writing is good, it's not personally my favorite, but it doesn't distract from the story.

Great Start!

Although the story is still at the beginning stages, I can already see some of the direction that it is planned to go. I love the characters and how well defined they are. Their personalities are just beginning to show but I can already tell there is a great amount of detail behind them. The story is great and the detail used is wonderful as well. It gives just enough information that is needed but also keeps some mystery there. Overall, it is a very good beginning and I cannot wait to see where it goes!

Great potential

The basis of the story is interesting. The atmosphere is great for what the author is going for and the worry Freya between her mom and her sister, what is real and what isnt. I like the way the things are revealed in the beginning chapters. However, I feel like the story lacks some detail. It is more of a show, saying that she went to do this and then this happened and so on. Adding some detail and descriptions about the environment and the characters would definitely add a good touch! It also needs to be edited through, but for just the beginning I can see some great potential!

I'm in love!

I domt think there is much that I can add to when looking at the other reviews. The story is beautiful and the writing is even more so. The plot is unique and it is captivating in every way possible. There are heafty descriptions of every fine detail which only adds to the atmosphere. It can be hard to follow at sometimes. The thought and effort put into each chapter and ever point in the story is beautifully well done. The characters are distinct and have so much personality to them! It is a book that will suck you right in and not apologize about it. Beautiful job! I am excited to read the rest of it!

Beautiful

I love how relatable Amelia is. Her emotions and thoughts are so well done that it makes everything that is happening feel familiar. The story is well balanced between serious and comedic moments, and the way it is written just captures everything that is happening so well. It moves along at a slower pace but there is real potential in this story as it continues on. My only gripe about the story is that the dialog is often combined into one paragraph when multiple people are talking. It makes it confusing to keep track of who is talking, if the same wprson is or if it someone different. If they werebroken up it would be much easier to follow. Overall this story is only just starting g and I am excited to see where it goes!

So many emotions

This story is very promising. I love the idea and it is very relatable to anyone who reads this. The emotions of never feeling good enough, things going horribly wrong, and the stress of needing to meet different societal expectations. I can tell the author put a lot of thought into the plot. The emotions are very explicit and it translate well into words.

There are a few points where the style of writing gets a little repetitive and not as passionate as other parts throughout the story.

Overall, the story has a lot of potential and I am excited to see where it goes!

Interesting

The story definitely kept me interested through the first chapter. I like that the reader is left in the dark for a lot of the chapter and is only left to question what the relationship is between the two characters. Only at the very end of the chapter are we told that they are father and daughter. It definitely kept me wondering and guessing what has happened between them and what caused them to be so distant.

There are a few grammatical errors which can easily be cleaned up and a few wacky sentences, but other than that, it was a very nice read. I am excited to see where the story goes from here.

Immersive

The story gets you right from the start and by the end of the first two chapters it feels as if you are already familiar with the world. The characters are so distinct from one another and their relationships are well defined. The writing is beautiful and it flows easily from one chapter to the next. I love the idea of how humans were brought about and the elves. Although this is a prequel of sorts to the other book, it feels as if it could easily be a stand alone short story.

Rollercoaster

This story definitely went from 0 to 100 real quick, but I definitely enjoyed it. The descriptions were great and it painted a good picture of what was happening. Although, the descriptions did tend to get a bit repetitive towards the end of the story. The middle part of the story seemed a bit rushed as if there was a though there but wasn't fleshed out all the way.

I definitely liked the idea and the way that things were implied that the reader should know and it fit well with the writing. It's definitely a short read but it doesn't lack much and is a good short story to help pass the time! Overall, I really enjoyed it.
