“A fine example of true art”- Reviewed by
- Michael Robinson III
'The BOG: King of the Swamp' by XJS seems to be more of a tv/movie drama or thriller that is wonderfully designed to make the read think. Going off the idea that Ruffus is both an embodiment and metaphor for nature's backlash against humans for their negligence against it and a helper or supporter… Read More -

“Wow”- Reviewed by
- Nedward
That was one of the creepiest stories I have ever read! What was that little thing? Just wow. The fear experienced by the parents was what made it so terrifying and real for me. And the empathy I felt for poor Kevin in the end. There are so many questions raised in this story that I really want… Read More -

The author is able to conjure up not only the sounds of late 19th century England but the style as well, evoking something of the syntax and cadence… Read More -

I loved this! I loved your descriptions, because they were very detailed and had a sinister edge to them. Your story's idea is also a unique one and I love the title! The detailed imagery built the eerie atmosphere exquisitely, and the scene could be recreated in my mind in its entirety. While… Read More
