A Wild Ride from Start to Finish
Prepare for High Octane!!
A story of what it means to be a good racer and the importance of family.
Set in a cyberpunk dystopian locale called Twilight City, Hugo finds out that honesty and fidelity is the key to his relationships. A story of redemption in many ways, notably the characters Hugo and Mr. Voodoo: the reader is immersed in an intoxicating distillery of street racing and heists somewhere in the 2070s---when mercenaries and powerful syndicate lords prey upon the weak and those bashful to the idea of transgression. At times there are explicit details that help codify the characters and mold them into the perfect imperfections they are. But much of the story is implicit---playing on the emotional diaspora resulting from dynamic intrigue, edge of your seat action, heartwarming moments, adrenaline pulsing tension, and the smooth gentle ride of cathartic exploration the characters experience. I look forward to reading more from Blake and wish the author all the best success.
I recommend this to late T+ (ages 17 and up)
There are depictions of substance abuse, violence, strong language, suspenseful imagery, and graphic imagery including depictions of blood and trauma not suitable for young readers.
My overall rating for quality content and satisfying read: 100% 5 Star Rating.
