I think the authors writing is great, and I liked the story. But after reading the first book about Her parents, I was overjoyed and happy to have found a calm and peaceful story with a twinge of action and some drama to it, then I read this book and it honestly felt like a copy and pasted version of the first one but with slightly different characters with different back stories, I don’t know what the author was going for or if it was intentional. But I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t too different than the first book, I mean Sorsha and Bea were so alike it was crazy, and Elijah and Leo had similar problems that effected their relationships almost equally the same. I’m not trying to be overly critical or a hater, I’m just trying to understand lol. I can understand that the author may just enjoy writing stories of similar style and have that calm aura with the book, but I don’t know, I personally feel like if you want to make a series, the books probably shouldn’t be so similar that the reader doesn’t feel as pulled in as they did at the beginning of the journey. I could be the only one who feels this way and I might be overthinking it, but idk I’m just telling you why I rated it this way. I absolutely love your writing style tho and that the characters try to understand each other.
