With almost surgical precision this writer slices and dices the characters as we all become so fond of each one. I pout with fury over this, I want to slice and dice the writer!

Then, as any good healer would do the author skillfully repairs this little thing, that gaping wound, and it all takes time. I realized that I wanted to actually spend this time with the characters and not go rushing through the story in my usual hectic pell mell fashion.

Sands of Redemption

The deserts of our world have seen so much, what they know fills the sand glasses of time. There may never be a perspective for all of us that mitigates the yawning chasms of how we treat each other.

Slightly Damaged

The population of the gold district in this story alone would make it worth reading, then throw in some rattlesnakes and the old Tom cougar and modern law enforcement ends up at about 175 to one, and still can't bring down the bad guy. Read it yourself to see how it all turns out.

I am Gabby

Full on action, one staggers at the energy required to keep the unrelenting onslaught of insidious criminal element that enables our own sicko citizens who just gobble up product. Make no mistakes here, we are doing this to ourselves. How much collateral damage ate we going to tolerate...

The Grecian pantheon was what first intrigued me about the storyline, then the quality of the writing. As the story unfolds, questions and perceptual challenge fell also to the sheer ability of the writer.

It was as if Gia knew what we all would be thinking, just when and voila the solve was provided. Decoris Unum says it best in the comment, "This was a damn good story."

Truth And Code The Future is Black and White

Seemingly complex at early stages of reading, one begins to grasp the future changes being described when it becomes clear that monetary systems as we know it will become obsolete.

Don't let the obscurity of the storyline descriptions deter you from reading this interesting exploration of potential future balance of power, and the ensuing perceptions of the general population on their history which is us, now and how we became them.

There are enough points of historic interest here to satisfy even the most demanding of readers who read historic novels.

Priceless experience to read this story of medieval far east, as timeless individuals meet and progress along a timeline not even understood by the entities and beings closest associated with humanity.

Some Live Some Die

Do we have any sense of those times from our place many years later? The 1920's saw a gradual reduction in the strictures of society but not in the hidebound perceptions of primogeniture, amongst those most wealthy before the great depression. Those families lost their best, born first, brightest heirs to world war one.

Finely drawn characters stand out in this story where some of us would have mucked about too much in the opulence of just post Belle Epoque, kudos to the author for that.

Labeled complete, but well worth the time to read this "Episode" of what could become one of the best I've seen all winter. Here's hoping the author won't have become disinterested in the character, and will return someday to write more.

All God's Orphans

I read this at the end of the first year of an international pandemic situation, in USA. Elements of the story feature harbingers of how an epic failover sorts out in its after effects, with the strong theme of a Dystopian scenario adding a backdrop to the confusion of the people.

Five stars for the concept, the location settings, and the strength of characters. Four because I couldn't keep an accurate timeline going, and no valid cause of the origin of chaos was put forth directly, or explained.

This storyline was intriguing with the denouement set at NORAD in Colorado, and I found it interesting that the Mormans were on site to defend Cheyenne Mountain.

The author's final solution included elements of redemption on earth, cessation of violence, and a lot of hope for basic humanity. Well done, and thank you.

One of the things I didn't expect from this writer, is the sense of confidence I got early into the story, that my reading experience was in good hands and I could just relax and enjoy the story. Being an author is the greatest thing. You can attribute any given characteristics to the story and we just read it and follow along. Being young in a hard core world just can't be glossed over too much yet too much raw reality could harm the readers romantic notions of a strong caring family.

The story and the people are so great. Honest characters doing the hard work to survive post civil war era. I left low stars for personal reasons, being as a reader of historic fiction I detest seeing modern mannerisms and ways of speaking anomalous to the historic era of the story.

It takes me AWAY from a time or place when I'm reading historic fiction for the sake of losing myself in the story.

I really encourage readers to see the other story set in Arizona, it's a really good story also!

Combat veterans serve their country, career military personnel will seldom let us down. This storyline speaks to the heart of all the humanity that civilians fail to understand

Polowan!

Polowan! Excerpt was written to establish a backstory for the character. Her five hundred year effort to obtain redemption from a powerful Ute Indian god called Senawhav will have stories set in the historic Gold Mine District of Colorado USA.

Historically, Ute Indians would have visited some hot springs located here, although feisty older locals deny any such possibility.

Traders, Indians, railroad people, miners, dance girls, Chinese, Irish, all these types of people are often depicted in Old West television series, nothing new here in Polowan's general back story, except we don't hear of Chinese Indian pairings as a historical feature in any of the Native American Nations's descriptions of their times with, for, or against newcomers of the 1600s - 1800's.

In the late 1800's this area took more gold in just several years than the Alaska and California gold rushes combined.

Steam engines replaced much beloved teams of donkeys (watch for SteamPunk storyline).

Trains brought tens of thousands to the area, brought in timber, bricks, blasting supplies, steam engines and of course relayed millions in gold back off the mountain. (watch for gold heist storyline)
It is feasible Chinese track layers could have been here.

Tour guides tell us that there are enough tunnels (known as drifts) and shafts to stretch to the Pacific Coast of USA if laid out in a row... (Watch for underground action, like 1000 ft below the surface type underground).

We know of one current independent privately held mine currently at very far lower than that, and Cripple Creek has discovered even more gold. They will be going down five miles.

Polowan's story is important to our perceptions of women of her era, to our current relations to Colorado Native Nations, to our perceptions of what we've done to the environment here, to what our goals might become as our own era of time takes it's place on the historic timeline.

What's really at risk here, in my opinion is a failing of confidence of the people in their banking systems.

A straightforward storyline like this deserves better credentials than I can think of at the moment. With up to date medical science, and an all too believable scenario, the whole package of protagonist, colorful religious overtones and underlying choices just all melds into the best I've seen in decades.

This author plays the dynamics of all involved characters with no paucity of feeling, even the bad guys! Also, William and Harry can be proud to be mentioned, the writing is superior in every way that counts.

So many things were explained as we came to know the characters, their strengths and weaknesses, and how they overcame their perceptions of each other.

There are layers to this storyline which seamlessly flurry around and so much of it makes sense. I would read this writer as often as possible.
