Finding Love In A Strange Place

I think I'm a little older than the age group the book would attract, but I would certainly have loved to read it when I was younger. It seems a 'feel good' sort of book. I admire the writer for tackling what is in fact a historical novel set in the 1950s and also for having written a number of books already at the age of 21, getting good front covers and mastering the ins and outs of posting her novels and negotiating the site. I wish her many more years of excellent writing to continue to entertain people. The tone of the dialogue certainly suits the period.

Gollygill

I liked the story. It's an interesting idea that the Scots and English would end up at loggerheads, with the Scots reverting to and insisting on Scottish terms being used. I'm wondering exactly what a half-boyfriend is and what has to happen for Bruce to become Rose's full boyfriend. I'll look forward to finding out what precisely sort of lifestyle is being experience in Scotland. Having to shoot rabbits with arrows suggests some sort of subsistence existence, living perhaps in makeshift dwellings. It tweaks the imagination.
