With respect to number 1 above, remember that many of us may be self-published and making traction outside the Inkitt platform of which is not reflected in real data. For instance, both of my novels landed a book signing with Barnes & Noble and are available in print on the best bookseller's shelves, have 5-star ratings on Amazon and other sites, yet get rendered to a simple data point on a computer algorithm on Inkitt, with no real indication of the novel's potential sales in the real world. So question is, are Inkitt authors only living in an Inkitt virtual reality, and those of us already published but looking for potential traditional commercial attraction better off taking our published novels off Inkitt?

opportunity to show the inkitt community you may care about their well being and not your bottomline. No other site seems to be offering a simple chat room for those that want to reach out. Promoting inkitt this way could attaract influential individuals to inkitt.

R Allen Lancaster @minnandr14 Your inkitt app is the same basic one I use on my smartphone. If you upgrade the app to google or apple you should be able to review/read and comment that way. I don't like those apps as there's not a simple way to turn off notifications

either just the author or to everyone. I personally like everyone to see them. On this website, I wrote a lot of them on different chapters, and not only did the comments not come out at the side of the paragraph but the person they were meant for, never received them. Where did they go? That was very frustrating. I gave constructive criticism that was not received and yet I spent a long time taking the time to give. I'll post a photo above regarding what I mean in case it's not clear what inline chapter comments mean (I'm not talking about a review at the end of the chapter, not a review when finishing the book).

Burge2k14 I'm not sure if anyone actually pays attention to this thread, but as a writer, I would appreciate a way to download the chapters I have written on Inkitt. I love that you can upload a word document, but it would be great if you could do the opposite too and download your entire story as a word doc

Eliyang @burge2k14 I know what you mean. I have to copy and paste the chapter into a document on my computer every time I fix a mistake or change something. That's a great idea!

I have been using this app for a couple of months now and not had a problem but tonight I was reading a chapter of a book and halfway through it would shut down. This has happened at least 10 times now. I even restarted my phone to make sure that that wasn't the problem and still no luck.

There should be a way to search for one's own stories. I posted mine but it never shows up in search results.

Amina Hazim @archon24 Hi, when you search your story. At the top panel, there are three categories Top, title, and people. Click on the title and your story will be there. Hope this was useful.

My issue is with the mechanics of Inkitt. After I click "Submit Chapter", I kept trying to enter Series Name.. Nothing was accepted, so I had to remove Series classification.

What the site needs are general instructions on how to use: how to upload story and change status from draft to story; how to edit or delete story. The mechanics of using Inkitt are the most essential missing element of what otherwise is a superb idea.

I already uploaded a cover picture. I did not see anywhere to select primary genre, story status, write summary, select series. Also, could not find how to change status from "draft" to

story; or how to delete or edit story. I would appreciate url(s) for the basics of creating/editing/deleting stories.

Yiona Oh! So on the story settings, not the website profile settings, there should be options for those. :) Hope this helps!
