Hello everyone! My novel "To Dream" has received more copies!
It's a dystopian where dreaming, creativity, and differences are banned by the government. How in the world could we write stories on Inkitt if that were the case, and what would we do without fiction, music, art, etc? The rating for the story is 13+ and it's meant for a teen and YA audience.
If you haven't read it and would like to, I'd love for your input and feedback!
I have entered the competition and after an initial surge of downloads and getting several reviews (believe its 9 now) my book isn't getting any more downloads. Its 'The Showman And The Shade' a ghost novel
Despite the reviews all being positive I wonder if its not to visible now as its been on here a few days, I am not sure the positive reviews are making it any more visible or why ... See More downloads have drifted off.... I am languishing in the mid forties for downloads left and it seems you become more visible the less downloads you. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. :-)

Hello everyone! Here's a excerpt of my novel "To Dream":
′Once upon a time’; a phrase too commonly said.
This story begins with a not so common opening: ‘How can you dream?’ Yes, I asked. 'How do you dream? What is it like?' Until recently, I had not dreamt during my life. It had been short; I was sixteen after all. I read about all of these dreams that had come true, but dreams never did anymore. I heard how someone could work their way to their goals, but that only ... See More seemed like a fantasy found in storybooks. It all started after dreaming was banned by the government. With dreams gone, all creativity and new ideas were sucked down the drain. Without them, people resorted to a dull lifestyle filled with geriatric technology. Society, technology, and culture were not advancing within our country, and our lives seemed pointless. Day in and day out, we’d do the exact same routine, and wear the exact same clothing. Nothing was ever different; different wasn’t even allowed.
I just posted my story "Gamer Realm" to the writing contest 2 days ago. If anyone wants to read it, check it out! Criticism is always appreciated!! Also, is there anyway to let other people know to view the story such as using Facebook or other social media platforms? I apologize if this seems like a dumb question. Thanks!!
So its been a week since I uploaded my novel, 'An Inside Joke' on here and I gotta say, it feels weird. For 6 years that story has been locked up with just me knowing it. Now other people have access to it. Scary times. Just waiting for/dreading the reviews.
Here's the book, a tech noir homage to 50's pulp fiction and 80's thrillers: https://www.inkitt.com/stories/thriller/98356
Hello, everyone! There are only 23 copies of my teen/YA dystopian novel left. To those who've given me feedback, thank you! Here's a new review I received today:
"I really enjoyed the story. It is a great dystopian novel and about the suppression of creativity and the courage it takes to change society. Can't wait to read the next installment."
Total Inkitt newbie here drawn in by the allure of the current contest :) Just one question: How do I know if I have properly submitted my entry? Does one receive an email confirmation? I did go to Submit Your Novel after uploading it and chose Submit Past Story but nothing seemed to happen when I clicked on it.
