Hi guys, I recently completed a story "Day and Night" (link here: https://www.inkitt.com/stories/drama/153101/), entered into the novel contest. It's a book that relates to suicide as well as romance with a bittersweet feel of university students transitioning to adulthood.
Please take a read if you are interested in such subjects and leave a review. I'm willing to reciprocate your review. Thanks for helping out!
I posted this in another group: a Kurt Vonnegut short talk about PLOT, but it is useful to any would-be writer. I try to follow the pattern myself (we all do) with our story arcs, and sometimes we succeed. I hope I did so with my latest '(Love Thine Enemy') of twenty books on inkitt (with more on Amazon). Watch the clip and have a good laugh. Then check out that story, or 'The Belvedere' or 'Loss of Innocence'. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP3c1h8v2ZQ
Hi. I would like some reviewers for my book, There were sparrows, a coming-of-age romance set in India. I have done another round of edit for the book, made shorter chapters so that it is easy to read it online, and restructured the whole prose. It has a definite feminine bent to it. I will welcome all reviews--- good bad and ugly... You can find my novel here: https://www.inkitt.com/stories/99817?preview=true .
Does anyone know when the next Inkitt contest will be?
Hello, everyone! To Dream has more copies and is undergoing a major rewrite to improve the story. Thank you everyone who read and reviewed it. I'd still appreciate more help, as I now just have an excerpt on the book, so if you'd like to leave a review for this YA novel, feel free to check out the link below!
"Dreams, Creativity, and Ambitions-- all were gone under a single government order. Banned from the things that ... See More make you different, people resort to a dull and practical lifestyle filled with nothing but government order. Disobedience means death.
After being exposed to these radical ideologies by a classmate, Calista Knight must choose between the life she knows, and a life of endless possibilities. Struggling from shyness, she's burdened when speaking her mind. Staying in the system is all too easy. If she dares to dream, will she be able to overcome her own personal fears and the disapproval of her father?
With the help of her friends and their raw talents and abilities, Calista will have to overthrow the government, take on mysterious threats, and tackle the secret magic in her own world. But can dreams, creativity, and the arts really take down an entire government?"
I am looking for readers for my book, and reviews too --- good, bad and ugly, all are welcome. I could swap books in turn, would prefer to read books with feminine sensibility, fantasy, romance et al. My book is a contemporary fiction with a tad literary bent. It is a coming -of-age romance, with criss-crossing threads of tales. I have just finished with a round of edit. Here's the link: https://www.inkitt.com/stories/99817?preview=true
