This story reminds of the relationship I experienced with my ex-husband. I love that man to death, but I really hate his drinking problems. I hate to see anyone experiencing this because there are so many layers of issues that must be addressed. It is not a "one stop shop" situation.

I hope if this is true, you are seeking help. I know that it can't be easy, but you are still here and that is definitely for a purpose.

I hate to know that anyone could experience this, but I love the way you tell the story.

As I read your story, I really identified with so many things you were saying. It is weird that I have always known I have an addictive personality and have tried for years to hide it or ignore it. When you said you were a monster, I could totally understand where you were coming from. I remember being a good girl going to church all the time. I have often felt that my own predilections were abnormal or immoral.

I identify with your writing and I enjoyed your writing style.
