Seeing Scarlett

I loved this book! The narrative flowed smoothly, and the author did a great job of giving the reader the necessary info in realtime - there weren't info dumps. The characters were rich, and I especially loved Scarlett! There is absolutely something ruthless about her, but the reader can easily see her humanity. She tries to do the right thing, but with an authenticity to it that doesn't feel overdone for someone who is a vampire. I also loved Lillian and their relationship - it often made me smile. And, of course Scarlett's relationship with Nick was complicated and interesting. I didn't expect his behavior when he came to her apartment, and their relationship was only more complicated from there. I couldn't decide if I wanted an all-out battle between them or if I wanted them to somehow lay aside their impossible differences. There were a few minor typos here and there, but nothing that can't be easily fixed. Overall, this was a fun and exciting read!

Great adventure

This story was unlike any others that I have read. The author does a great job of describing the characters and their surroundings, and I easily found myself drawn into the story. The serial killer's thoughts and actions were difficult for me to read, as good writing describing terrible things is so often difficult to read. The story had sadness, adventure, and intrigue, and I really enjoyed it. I loved the characters and their relationship development. Would love to know more about Shakti's next adventure!

Fun

This story is fun! I enjoyed the storyline quite a bit, and I'm really curious to see how things will progress for Luca and Gia. Luca is an interesting character, and I'm left wondering about the choices he will make regarding his family and the business... and how that will go. I can see the potential for a lot of development with Gia, and I think I'm going to enjoy rooting for her! The steamy scenes were well done. You have a gift with storytelling. Overall, a good read so far! Excited to see where this goes!!

YES!

I really could not put this down! Loved this story, and LOVED the strong female lead! Katherine is a fun character to follow, and I loved how she refused to allow these circumstances to control her. She continually surprised me as she fought and remained firm when surrounded by vampires much stronger than she was. Her relationship with Thorin was exciting, and I loved the relationship development between them. And speaking of relationships, the development between Katherine and Bianca and between her and Claire was fun to read as well. I can't wait to see what happens next!!

Cool start

There's only one chapter posted so far, but the author has already introduced conflict, setting the story up to propel forward. The descriptions were detailed without getting too bogged down. I'm really interested to see where this goes!

Great start

I really enjoyed these beginning chapters, and I think it definitely has potential for a great story. When I first read the description, I envisioned a story that would take place somewhere other than a modern world, but I actually liked the fact that it seemed so normal at first - referencing the car, the living room, the hoodie. It feels different, and I like that. The tension is already building, and I'm curious to see what happens next!

Great story

This was a lovely little story. The characters were likable, and the story was moving. I think that if you ever decided to expand this story into a lengthier work and show the audience more of the relationship development that the story could be truly devastating (in a good, touching way!) Overall, it was a good read!

Great read

Oh, how I loved this story! The author transported me into a vivid and unique world. I really enjoyed the characters and their relationships with one another. The ending was well done, and I appreciated the fact that we saw a shred of humanity left in Tex after the horrible transformation he was forced into. Overall, a great read!

An interesting read

Throughout the story, I felt as though I was following a cute budding romance. Though the main character has sworn off love for anyone, it seems that he is constantly losing that battle within himself throughout the story. The reader can clearly see that he begins to care about others and even for himself, as he allows himself to hope for his parent's reunion and admit that he would like for that to happen. I enjoyed the character development and the development of his relationship with Alice. I didn't expect the ending!

I. Need. More.

From beginning to end, I really enjoyed the characters and seeing their relationships develop. I loved Dialla and Tyler's bond, and watching Dialla evolve. The story moved at a quick pace, while also granting the reader enough detail to get lost in this world. As this is a work in progress, I'll definitely be following the story to see how it evolves. Great read!

Fun concept

I really enjoyed this story and the concept of it. The characters were fun to get to know, but the complications between them kept things interesting. There's some grammar to clean up, but definitely not anything that can't be fixed. This is also something you could evolve into a longer work if you wanted to really explore the characters more. Overall, an enjoyable read!

Can't wait to see the finished product

Love, love, love this! I can't wait to reread once it's completed, and get the full story. I really enjoyed the characters and loved Ella and Ellie's bond. It took me a moment to get them straight in my head, considering their names are so similar, but once I did, I was able to move forward at a comfortable pace. The writing in descriptive, and I definitely got lost in the author's world. Great work.

Tender

I should be asleep by now, but I couldn't stop reading this book! The characters feel unique to me, and the pace is quick. I've enjoyed the storyline of Lynn and Jamie, and I'm really curious how things will play out for them and their friendship. The accident was shocking and a great plot twist for the story, and the character development going on with Jamie is going to be interesting to observe. I can already feel myself hoping that he will allow Lynn to help him accept and move forward. I could really feel his loss and pain, along with Lynn's as well. This is a really gripping story.

Faking It

You have a really strong start here. Even in the first chapter, I already understand the conflict between the characters and am so curious to find out how this all plays out. I think it's interesting too that this main character has done something terrible, and I'm not sure yet how I'll feel about her, although I can see the damage in her. I think she'll be a really interesting and complex character! Can't wait to see where you take this story!

Howl

Wow! The writing was so descriptive that I fell into Anna's world quickly. You have a real talent for storytelling - one of the best style's I've seen so far. I also really enjoyed Anna as a character. She's damaged and at times obsessive, and I loved delving deeper into her mind and watching her evolve as a character throughout the story. Details emerged at the right times to keep the story (and character development) moving forward at a good pace. I'm invested in Anna's story now and can't wait to see what happens next!

Interesting storyline

First of all, I really enjoyed the characters. The character development is well done, and I like how we continually see more and more of the character's personalities. The guys are fun to observe in their brother-like attitudes toward one another and their playfulness. I especially like Claus and found myself almost wanting him and Rebecca to gravitate more toward one another than even Ink. Claus was just easy for me to like.

The adventure aspect of the story was also fun, and I enjoyed the author's world-building as she explained the various groups of people and creatures that inhabit the world. I also enjoyed a glimpse into Prince Hanariel's world and the understanding of what happened with the volcanic eruption.

The plot is an interesting thing to consider, and it was difficult and enlightening to observe the class differences - I think the author did a good job of bringing that dynamic to life and allowing the audience to feel as they should for the poor of Maskerville.

There is some grammar to clean up (and tense changes), but nothing that can't be fixed once you move into a few rounds of editing. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to seeing what happens next! Where the story currently ends is a real cliffhanger!! Great work!

Ava

The author did a wonderful job of building the story. The characters felt unique, and I enjoyed the relationship development throughout. The story felt real, and I became immersed enough in it to want to yell at Ava and Cade when they were being dense with one another! I love them together and how things played out for them. The twists and turns with Mia and the others were unexpected, and I loved it!! Overall, a great story with a cliffhanger ending! I need to know what happened and what will happen next!

Great Story

I really enjoyed this story. The author wrote rich characters, who continually developed throughout the story. I like how Hayley grows from having this obsession with being better than her sister to being a loving sister who risked her life for Heather. It was also interesting to watch Heather's story play out, as the reader learns more about her secrets! This developed into so much more than I expected too, with the crime and police involvement, and I definitely couldn't stop reading after that! Great story that tackled some real issues. Great work!

You have a good beginning to your story. The flashback in the character's life was interesting, and I can see where it'll provide good background info to set up your story. You'll need to correct some grammar when you get to editing, but a neat start!

First few chapters

Four chapters of this book are up at the time I'm reading this. It's a really interesting start to the book, and I want to read more! I like the premise and main character - she tries to have this tough girl demeanor about her, but is very kind to Maribel, which shows off her loving and protective side. There's potential for some really good character development. I'm curious to see how things will unfold from here!

Loved it

I lost myself in this story, forgetting the outside world as I read. I couldn't stop reading, as I just had to know how everything turned out! I enjoyed the characters and their development throughout the story. I kept waiting for something to happen between Hannah and Ethan, and I like that there wasn't any resolution with their feelings until the end - it kept me "turning the pages." Their world is interesting with the Hleo and Protecteds. Really enjoyed the suspenseful ending. Good work!

Fascinating read

The descriptions were so vivid that I found myself engrossed in the magical worlds beyond the frames, and what fascinating worlds they were! I don't often read stories with such young characters in the lead, and I found myself smiling as I followed them on their journey. The pace was really quick, as the storyline propelled forward. I'm really curious to see how this all turns out. Will definitely have to read the next book now!

Thrilling/Heartbreaking

I really enjoyed the author's manner of telling this story. I was quickly swept into their world and felt that the characters were really well developed. I found myself going through a range of emotions reading this, and many times wanted to tell Dominic "no!" Though his hatred of the kingdom might be justified, you could feel his humanity slipping away. It was interesting as you could continue to catch glimpses of it though, even through his attacks and hatred. This story demonstrates both the horror of war and destruction of people's lives. I thought it was a really powerful story.

The only thing I couldn't quite reconcile with was the ending. Even with his loss of humanity at times, the princess was the one thing that still truly brought out his humanity. He loved her, and I find it difficult to believe that he would have forgotten about her in that way. Even if he had released her, I think he would have wanted an audience with her before she left the kingdom... something. It just left me without a sense of closure really... after such an incredible story. But everyone has their own opinions! Otherwise, I found it to be a really fascinating world, and enjoyed it.

Sweet Story

The story is a beautiful telling of a young couple experiencing their first love and hardships. I felt pulled to the story, as my experience with love is very similar (and we're happily married now), and I loved the ending. Unexpected

This story definitely morphed into something that I wasn't expecting! I really enjoyed the characters and their interactions with one another. The author does a great job of building her world, and with the descriptive imagery, I easily found myself inside the forest with them. The pace of the story is quick with enough drama to keep you interested throughout the story. It was sad for me to read about a "forced marriage," and the author did a great job of demonstrating what can happen when people are not allowed to marry for love. After beginning, I really didn't want to stop reading until I was finished. Scifi isn't typically my jam, but this one really surprised me.
