To All The Men Iโve F*cked [or Almost] Before
So I finally finished To All the Men I've F*cked [or Almost] Beforeโ sorry life got in the way on my reading otherwise I wouldn't have been able to put this book down. No joke, this story is absolutely incredible & one of my all time favorite reads.
Here is my final review to those that have not read this fan-f*cking-tastic book before:
Let me start by saying @rotorooters is an absolute God when it comes to writing. Between her imagery, descriptions, & characters' depths, I honestly can't even put into words how good this book is.
The author immediately pulls you in with her cheeky title, tying it to the plotโ the MC reminiscing on all of her failed hookups & relationships, trying to understand her dry spell.
I connected so very deeply with Megh (the MC) & the stupid things that I also did on my journey to finding love. Megh is a beautiful, hilarious, flawed MC that you are constantly rooting for (although sometimes you want to smack her). She is insecure like most women & the fact that @rotorooters created her as a strong ethnic woman of color was a bonus for me. Not only have I grown tired of the cliche blonde girl (nothing against it), but this story educated me on insecurities I didn't even know that some women of color may have dealt with. I absolutely loved Megh & learning about her culture.
The way this author flips perspectives between the MC & all the men she was with, was extremely unique & done so very well. I applaud @rotorooters for making each individual character have their own thoughts & feelings, never once sounding like the MC. This is not an easy task & this author does it so flawlessly. Characters I originally hated, I grew to love after understanding their motives from their perspective.
Without giving away too much, I will say @rotorooters has a gift when it comes to pulling at your heart strings & making you cry your eyes out for hours, however her witty sense of humor gives a nice laughter break between tears.
I cried, screamed, laughed, & cheered throughout the entirety of this book. The words speak to you on every page, making you feel deeply connected.
The writing is poetic & beautifully heartbreaking! โค๏ธ
