Review

I love the premise of this story. It immerses the reader into its tale. These first 30pg made me want to know what happens next. I believe this book will appeal to readers of YA and mystery. A few oversights need editing, though.

Ray of Sunshine

Massive congratulations on completing your book. Also, I read somewhere that English isn't your first language, so for that alone, kudos - what an amazing achievement.
Regarding your story, I loved the allegory of Dark and Ray for a novel titled 'Ray of Sunshine' - I find it to be an evocative and poetic touch and very appropriate for a Romance novel. Your heart-warming romantic plot has some leg, but I would highly recommend conducting a 'manuscript assessment'. If you can't pay for a professional one, perhaps ask an English teacher or well-read friend to give you detailed feedback on your plot, subplots, characterization, pace and writing. I'd also recommend a line-editing (either from a professional or bookish native speaker) prior to publication. Someone recommended Grammarly, and I believe that'd make for a great first step, but I think you'd benefit from a 'human' editing-eye.

I didn't read your novel in its entirety, but I would happily go back to it once polished. Please don't hesitate to nudge me once you've reached that stage and I'll gladly update my review.

Rose coloured glasses

2 chapters have been released but so far, so good. The author writing style is warm and humourous with quirky descriptions which I found fun and enjoyable without being distracting. I love that the story is set in Nigeria, as I don't think I've ever read a chick lit/romcom set outside of a western country before. I'm looking forward to getting more snippets of information about the setting as the story progresses. P.s I've rated the plot with 3*, only because it can't be rated until the story is completed - there ought to be an 'n/a' option for uncompleted novels.
