The plot is engaging. The characters are instantly recognizable and they feel real. The world they inhabit is quite interesting and the mystery surrounding them—although familiar—is enjoyable nonetheless.
One particular thing that struck me about this story was how well-defined the tone was. It was light-hearted, but the characters still acted mature enough. Almost from the first chapter, I could tell that this was different from the other stories I've read here, as I could feel that the author knew what they wanted from this story and knew how to tell it. It has an identity of its own that is appealing and has the potential to attract a wide audience.
Overall, I quite enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to fans of short, light-hearted mysteries.
