Plenty of Potential
Minor gripe: I was told this was fantasy when it's Post-apocalyptic Sci-fi/Alt. History.
With that out of the way, what did I think of this story? It's a bit rough around the edges, but the overall setting and lore pull you in. The writing style is a mite bit passive, but the different point of views, giving understanding from all sides, was a really nice touch. The characters were interesting, though I felt the overall world and everything else going on in it eclipsed them, which is not a bad thing. If you can create a world that feels just as alive as the focuses of the narrative, that is truly a marvel and worth a good bit of praise.
Overall, I enjoyed it. The story has a good bit of promise in the coming drafts. I cannot wait to see what kind of changes and growths the author plans to do and go through, but, as-is, it's definitely worth a read-through.
