Enticing and intriguing
Where do I even start? This story was intriguing from start to finish. From the very beginning you are pulled into Hope's world and you are introduced to this new idea of demons. You see that they have their own culture and traditions and they are almost like tribes. It breaks the traditional image you have of them. And the terminology used as well as the language gives the reader a sense of otherworldness.

The characters are complex and well written and even when they have their flaws it's those flaws that make you root for them. Ciaran is a tragic soul who's endured so much that he's not seen as pathetic and it breaks the image that big buff men don't have issues and insecurities. You find yourself falling in love with him and the romance between him and Hope was soon natural and realistic.
Hope was a badass female character who was no damsel in distress. The fact that she leads Ciaran out of the dark and is his polar opposite makes them both the perfect match.
Dimitri was that friend that just wanted to help his buddy even when he had his own issues. His sense of humor and sarcasm always made me laugh. I like the friendship between him and Ciaran because of how supportive it is. It also showed the friendship between two males which is not something you see a lot. I love how protective he is and how much he tried to get Ciaran out of his shell.
All in all this book is one that I have no doubt in my mind that it will end up in bookstores. The writing, the story, the characters, and the world are all fascinating and so well done. I can't wait to add this book to my collection of books!
