His run away

My lungs are burning and my legs are going as fast as they can. I can hear their paws on the ground behind me. Suddenly it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I know what that means. I was in no-mans land. The pounding of the paws stopped, I began to slow myself but continued running. The ground underneath me is starting to feel different. It's changing from dirt and grass to sand. I can smell the salty air and hear the water crashing against the rocks. I know that means I'm close to a human town so I continue to run into the town and to the nearest hotel. I'm ready to begin hiding.

******* time skip *******

It's been weeks since I ran from my pack. I've been in this hotel room for two weeks. I ran out of money for food a few days ago. It's time to go outside, I cant stay in this hotel room forever. As I walk outside for the first time in weeks i realize how good the sun feels on my skin, and how good it is to breath the fresh salty air. As I'm walking down the street I see that the diner next door is hiring. As I walk in I'm greeted by a young brunette. She was about 5'5" with long hair that flowed down her back.

"Hi, how can I help you?" she asked in a bubbly and happy tone.

"Um, Hi I'm Brielle I was wondering if you were hiring." I answered with a small smile.

" Yes we are, and lucky for you I'm the manager. I'm Molly by the way" she walked me to the back and we began the interview. After a few minutes of her asking me questions she paused to think for a few seconds.

"You're Hired, " as she said this I released a breath I didn't know I was holding. " You start tomorrow."

I stood up and walked out of the diner. I began to walk to the beach. There is a small gift shop on the beach where I go and get a towel and bathing suit. I set the towel on the ground and relax slowly drifting off to sleep. Suddenly I'm awoken by the most heavenly smell. It smells like sugar cookies and freshly cut evergreen trees. Well pretty much Christmas. I quickly get up and chase the smell. I run till the smell disappears.

It's been a few days since I smelled "Christmas". I can't get the smell out of my mind. Today is Molly's birthday, she's having a party on the beach. Molly and I have become very close. I'm currently getting ready after deciding on the red bathing suit i bought last week along with the red dress.

As I walked up to the beach I saw lights around the dance floor and the path leading to the party. As soon as I got there Molly ran and gave me a hug, having obviously had one too many drinks. She began to introduce me to her friends.

"This is my boyfriend and mate, Luke" she introduced us, with a slight wave I excused myself. On my way back to Molly I begin to smell Christmas again. The closer I got to Molly the stronger the smell. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Molly began to call me.

"Brielle, this is Alpha Lorenzo" She said. As soon as Lorenzo's emerald green eyes met my silver eyes I knew who he was. My mate. He radiated a power and strength but I wasn't afraid.

"Hello, Brielle" he says as if trying my name out with his rich Itallian accent.

"Hey" I answer shyly. He slowly stalks over to me as if I'm the prey he is hunting. Making a slight tinge of fear course through my veins. Making me want to shrink.

"Would you like to dance?" He whispered in my ear kindly. My body shivered reacting to him being so close. "Just met me princess and already so reactive"

He dragged me over to the dance floor before wrapping his arms firmly but gently around my waist. We began to sway to the music in a comfortable silence. I was overwhelmed by the feeling of tingles shooting throughout my body everywhere his skin touched mine, and his sent surrounding me. So overwhelmed in fact that didn't hear him speaking to me as i was in my own little paradise.

"Brielle... Brielle?" His voice calling my name snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yes?" I answered semi dazed. Snapping my eyes to him. Blushing with a shy smile.

"I was asking if you would...." he trailed off as if thinking about what he planned to ask, "If you would like to move in with me. I know we've only just met but you are my mate and I'm sorry if I"m rushing into things but its just that i feel like I've been waiting for you for so long and I know it really has only been a few years and other people wait way longer and i just want to keep you safe and I don't like the idea of you living in a hotel where anyone can stay."

"Yes, I would love to move in with you" I said smiling up at him, as he released a sigh of relief "Was the big bad alpha nervous?" I said with a small giggle. He growled at me playfully. We slowly made our way off the dance floor. Once off the dance floor we found Molly.

"Hey Molly, wanna go to the hot tub or swimming?"

"HELL YEA" She yelled to me and Lorenzo. Enzo grabbed my hand and we walked over to the hot tub as it was slightly too chilly to go into the beach. As I took my dress off of over my bathing suit I heard a throaty deep growl from behind me. I quickly whip my head around and to see Enzo with now black eyes. I'm sure I'm blushing now as I giggle and begin to walk into the hot tub.

A few minutes later Molly and Luke joined us. Luke was holding Molly very close as if making sure others didn't touch her. As if reading my mind Enzo answered my unspoken question whispering in my ear "He is holding her like that because I'm another male. It is taking everything in me to not hold you like that but I simply don't want to overstep or make you uncomfortable."

"Well just so you know it wouldn't make me uncomfortable."I answered him quietly. Within seconds I was on his lap and in his arms. Which had become my favorite place in the last few hours.

**a few hours later **

Lorenzo's POV:

We had been cuddling in the hot tub for a few hours now, it is nearing midnight.

"Darling?" I whispered quietly to her.

"Hmm?" she answered sleepily

"Would you like to go home?" I asked her once again. I knew we wouldn't need to stop at the hotel because I had people move her stuff over to my place.

"mhm, please" she answered once again.

"Okay darling. Lets go" I said standing up and getting out of the hot tub with her in my arms. I said my goodbyes and walked to the car. Putting her in the passenger seat and buckling her in. I make my way to the driver side of the car. I got in the car, turned to on and began to drive.

***20 minutes later***

We were still on the road as my house was almost an hour away from the beach. I couldn't help but think about the beauty in the seat next to me. She was different from other wolves, I could smell it in her sent. She snapped me out of my thoughts with a whimper. I put my hand on her thigh gently rubbing my thumb against her skin.

"Bri?" I asked in a quiet tone as to not scare her. She didn't respond and continued to whimper. "Darling? Wake up" I said pulling over to the side of the road. Her silver eyes fluttered open as she turned her head toward me.

"Hey gorgeous" I said flashing her a smile.

"Hey" she said with a little yawn.

"Are you okay darling?" I asked worriedly

"Yes just a nightmare"

"Are you sure princess?"

"Yes" she answered with a slight smile. I simply nodded and began to drive again.

"Darling were still about 40 minutes from the house." I told her to which she nodded closing her eyes again. I continued to drive with my hand still on her thigh.
