Introduction

Somewhere in a world that isn’t perfect, but is perfect enough, Jane and John wake up together.

There’s no great tragedy looming over them. No painful misunderstandings or years of pining. No breakups, no heartbreak, no will-they-won’t-they nonsense.

They’re already here.

They are the after. The epilogue that romance novels never show. The quiet, easy intimacy of two people who have chosen each other over and over again—through the sleepy mornings, the mundane afternoons, and the nights that still burn like the first time.

This is what love looks like when you’ve already won.

It’s John stretching his legs into the warm spot Jane left behind when she got out of bed, sighing contentedly before he inevitably drags himself up after her. It’s their bodies fitting together like a well-worn habit—touching, teasing, sometimes slow, sometimes desperate, but always familiar.

Their love isn’t a rollercoaster but a steady heartbeat. A rhythm so natural, they don’t need to think about it. It’s built into them, in the way Jane bites his lip when she kisses him, or the way John’s hand finds the small of her back without thinking.

There is no grand plot. No villain. No drama.

Just a husband and a wife. A couple who never grew tired of each other. A marriage that still holds all the warmth, laughter, and shameless desire it started with.

Some days are funny. Some are tender. Some are downright filthy. But every day, without fail, is full of love.

And so, this is their story.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

Just love, every day.

Author’s Note

Reading and writing are both forms of escapism. I didn’t expect to end up here, writing these stories—these little escapes. Not to places of tension and crisis, but to something softer.

I set out to write one of those larger-than-life, dramatic stories, filled with crisis after crisis, and this was meant to be the ending. And it wasn’t even going to be this happy—just one of those ambiguous conclusions, full of unresolved issues and lingering sadness.

Instead, I found a world that simply feels good—where love is certain, where happiness isn’t fragile, where warmth stays with you long after the last page.

And somehow, I find myself still extending this ending.

If you enjoy these stories, let me know. Leave a review, share your thoughts—I’d love to hear what made you smile, what moments stayed with you.

I’ll be adding more, and Jane and John will always be happy.

I have plans.

And if you pay attention, you might notice—some of them are already in motion. 💙
