Chapter 1
Ariana's POV :
As night fell, the coffee shop was lit up with soft lights. On the booth near the window, I narrowed my eyes and was watching the night scene with boredom.
The glass of window reflected my small, light made up face, thin eyebrows, light pink eye shadow, and red lips.
I was under the order of her mother and was dating.
I was distracted with a hoarse voice rang in her ears. " Miss smith, are you listening to me ?"
I snapped out of my thoughts. I turned around and saw the man frowning and glaring at me with displeased expression on his face.
The man was around 35 years old and have a very ordinary appearance , smiling to me with his yellow teeth.
"Yes". I raised her eyebrows and responded indifferently.
I was only 25 years old, but my mother seemed to be afraid that I wouldn't be able to get married. Mom had already arranged for me to go on a blind date for the next few weeks, as if she would not rest until I was married out this year.
However, the man was clearly dissatisfied with my reaction. He pause for a moment before he said, "miss Smith, in short, I'm still barely satisfied with your appearance. How about we settle the marriage first ?"
I was taking a sip of water. Upon hearing this, I immediately sprayed it out , my eyebrows raised in disbelief as I said " Mr John, right? If I remember correctly, today is the first time we have met? "
"Yes, this is the first time we have met, but I heard from the introductions that you're old and anxious to get married." Mr John smiled confidently, with his yellow teeth. He continued " let me tell you clearly miss Smith we will marry within a week. There is no need for you to go for a job. You just have to stay home, make food and take care of me and my mom dad."
After listening this I got so angry but instead I laughed at his stupidity. I narrowed my eyes and said to him "Do you think I am a care taker or your servant. You don't even know how to talk to a woman. And what made you think that I'll marry you ? And who are you to tell me that I have to do a job or not?"
Mr John got really very angry and raised his voice telling " How dare you raised your voice in front of me bitch..... " and he angrily hit the table . The hot coffee on the table spells on my wrist.
I hissed........ I got up from the chair and angrily slapped the man in front of me. All the waiters and customer in the coffee shop were shocked by this sudden turn of event.
Mr John reached out to grab my arm, "Miss Smith, let's sit down and have a nice chat !"
"Let go!" I felt goosebumps all over my body from the greasy feeling coming from my arm. I swung my arm fiercely, but with too much force, my feet slipped and the man suddenly let go.
I lost my balance and was going to fell backward, when suddenly, a strong arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me up to his strong muscular chest. I was in the arms of a very strong man.
