The First Flight

In the Rikomura Academy, a 10-year-old boy was flying a kite with a butterfly on it. He had a blue karate ghi with a sleeveless top, short black hair, blue eyes, and a blue karate headband. He was, "Aiya Yamakawa". Then a man with armpit length black hair and a green kimono came in, he was, "Sensei Kenzo Rikomura". He told Aiya to help welcome the new students to the school. Then the kite accidentally flew to high and went flying like crazy. Aiya said, "Watashi no tako! (My kite!)" He ran out of the school into Tokyo Park. He found his kite in a save saved by a girl around his age. She had torso length black hair, a pink tank top, magenta skirt, a hot pink belt and boots, pink earrings, and a tickle me pink necklace. She told him that she's from Osaka and she's exploring Tokyo Park before she attends school at The Rikomura Academy. Aiya looked at her in a romantic look.

Back at The Rikomura Academy, a boy riding a bike came in. He had short black hair covering his right eye, a red tank, dark grey jeans, a black amulet and sneakers. Sensei Rikomura was outside, greeting the new students to the school. Bairei said, "Is this the Rikomura Academy?" Sensei said, "Hai (Yes.)" Bairei said "Names, "Bairei Itoh" I'm the new student here and I demand to get in." Sensei said, "Behave young man." Bairei pushed sensei and called him a, "Turkey". A girl wearing a baseball cap backwards, a yellow t-shirt, a light yellow skirt, yellow go-go boots helped him up. She was, "Anni Omori". Anni said, Sensei, Daijōbudesuka? (Are you okay?) "Daijōbudesu.(I'm fine.)", Sensei said while getting up.

Aiya and Suzuko came in noticing Bairei. Bairei only noticed Suzuko and got love-struck. He went up to her and try to win her love, but rejected him. Later, they were watching Aiya giving a demonstration on martial arts. There were about 24 students attending the school year. During the demo, Suzuko befriended Anni. Bairei got board and he started to fake cough. Bairei complained, "Watashi wa byōki no kanjite imasu."(I'm feeling sick.)

Sensei told him to bring 3 people for company. He picked, Suzuko, Aiya, and Anni. They sneaked around the halls and found the basement. They knew that he was pretending because they can tell if someone is sick or not. He said that he does it to skip school and gets caught often, his parents were both doctors and they sent him to school so he can learn not to cut class. He was homeschooled before. Bairei was really going to go through the basement for fun. They found the door to the basement and went down.

They went down to the basement and explored everything from Ancient Japan. Then Suzuko discovered a katana, a pair of fans, nun-chucks and sais and a small box. Inside the box were 4 rings. They placed the rings on their right ring finger and they started to glow. Out of the rings came an eagle, a dragonfly, a butterfly, a swan, a rhinoceros beetle, an owl, a ladybug and a dove. Back at the training, Sensei Rikomura sensed animal spirits in the basement. He told Anni's grandmother, "Wazuka" to fill in for him. She had grey hair in a bun and was wearing a yellow kimono and getas. He told her to fill in for him while he goes to the basement. He went down to the basement to find out that they found the 4 weapons of Yamakawa and the rings. He told them that these were rings made by Yamakawa's royal jeweler and whoever possesses them can have the instincts of a bug and a bird. Aiya had a dragon fly and an eagle, Suzuko had a butterfly and a swan, Bairei had a Rhinoceros beetle and an owl, and Anni had a ladybug and a dove. The gang figured they could be named similar to their animals. Aiya chose, "Eagonfly", Suzuko decided to go by, "Swanerfly", Bairei chose, "Owloceroes", and Anni chose, "Ladydove". Now they needed costumes to keep everyone from knowing their secret. Their animal spirits came in and gave them their costumes and masks to hide their identities. Then the 8 animal spirits went up to the 4 children. Aiya said, I'll call the eagle "Izanagi" and "Kagutsuchi" after the Japanese gods the sky and fire. Suzuko said, I'll call the butterfly "Odette" and the swan "Clara" after the 2 in the ballet, "Swan Lake" and "The Nutcracker". Bairei said, Mine are "Michael" for the rhino beetle after Michael Jackson and "Star-Child" for the owl after the KISS member, Paul "The Starchild" Stanley. Anni said "And mine are "Sally" for the ladybug, after the first magical girl ever and "Toshiko" for the dove after the wife of Shotaro Ishonomori." Sensei comments, "Guddo-mei no kodomo-tachi.."(Good names children.)

Later that day at the park, they were still in their super outfits. Bairei got excited that he gets become a superhero. Anni knew a lot about superheroes and they must wait until a crime shows up. Then a villain was robbing the Tokyo Car Musuem. The car was grey, it had a 1957 style and it didn't have a roof. "Shieldsniper" had short black hair, a purple archer's outfit, a black hood and visor. Anni told her team that her dad was in one and that's why she lives with her grandmother. They flew to the stolen car. Shieldsnipder stopped. He was stealing the 57 Kobomasu, the most expensive car of the 1950s Japan. The 4 heroes flew in and stopped him. He powered his car by his secret weapon, "Snipergas". He explained that it has power 10 times than real gas and my arrows can do stuff by color." Shieldsniper screamed, "Watashinokao!(My face!)"

Swanerfly turned visible. Before he grabbed her, she escaped the car. Eagonfly found a way to stop Shieldsniper from stealing the car. Shieldsniper got out his bow and arrow and aimed his arrows at The Flockurais, but Eagonfly defended them with his sword. They flew to him and Ladydove jumped on his car with her supersonic jumpin. The car was fine, then Owloceroes lifted up the car. Ladydove got off before he did the honors. He made the car spin and made Shieldsniper swing towards Tokyo prison. Shieldsniper vow vengeance on the quartet. Outside the prisons people were ranting for the new superheroes in town, while the stolen car gets towed back to the museum. They had to get out of the picture; they flew back to The Ryusaki Academy. They noticed that no one was looking and they turned back to normal.

Later that day at Sushi Fountain, they were talking about their adventure. The team was wearing their regular clothes and Aiya was wearing a blue baseball cap backwards, a light blue t-shirt, a denim jacket, denim jeans and sneakers. The Sushi Fountain was a sushi bar with numerous pictures of Japanese culture and tables. Anni said that no one can't know so they can protect their loved ones and luckily, a close friend or relative keep their secret and they help distract people when the superhero needs to transform. They needed to think of a new name. As they were thinking, Aiya thought up, "The Flockurais", it was a combination of, "Flock" and "Samurai". They each placed their right hands in, lifted them up and shouted: "Flockurais!"

The End.

Catherine Kopf: Wow! This was a really great story. I really enjoy reading fantasy, so it didn't take long for me to become invested in the book and its characters like Jacob. Pille: I have never read a ... werewolf/urban fantasy/any other genre ... story with this brutal honesty about kidnapping and mafia. It was a chilling experience but you also managed to write it as the best thriller and also give it a happy end. I must praise you for the amazing writing skills you have...

Dru83: This is the second or third time I've read this one and I just love it. It has just about everything you could ever want packed into one scifi story. It still has some parts that are a little rough in terms of grammar, punctuation, and word usage, but it's still an awesome story. I love how detai...

ArgyrisMetaxas: Thrilling story which builds layer ontop of layer. A few mis spellings every few chapters. What I found special was that it took a modern day problem and took it to its logical conclusion and plays this realism with gritting precision. I'm always on edge ready to shout from adrenaline. This is gr...

heavyreader: great scifi novels but needs a better spell checker (check auto-substitution level) and grammar checker!!! otherwise, ready for mass market publishing!!

Dina Husseini: It was a great hook. I do not like reading scifi because they end up being like all the rest but this one kept me wanting more.

carla1234: I couldn't stop reading this book once I started! it was brilliant! I loved it and I would love to buy it. genlynne2379: I read the other review of this book and I must say that I disagree with it wholeheartedly. I do not believe the author put the apostrophes in the names just to be unique, but because the characters are supposedly of a different race than humans. They are Anmah. They should have different names a...

Erin Crowley: The concept here is really strong, but the execution is definitely lacking. Tenses, grammar, etc are all off, with at least one or more errors per 'Page' on my phone. The writing style is almost broken- sentences move into each other awkwardly, and are filled with an excess of "filler words", lik...

Giuliana Cassetta: My face is full of tears, I never cried like now with a book or even a movie. I loved every single chapter. I truly don't know what to say, I'm out of words and my eyes hurt from crying. Such an bittersweet story, it's so wonderful. One of my favorites for sure. Keep it up!
