Starfish

I woke up screaming, again. This was getting old very quickly. Not that it was very pleasant to begin with but… that was beside the fact. The medication had completely worn off and now the waves of pain where excruciating. Not to mention the fact that my body was covered in a shiny layer of sweat. Another wave of pain hit as I cried into her pillow. I couldn’t even do that comfortably because the fabric hurt my face. Speaking of fabric… I reached down and snapped my bra off, my breasts were so sore.

“Why the fuck couldn’t I just be normal?” I murmured to myself.

“Because, Lean, you are much to pretty of a wolf.” I heard a distinct male voice speak up from the corner. I jumped and covered myself with the sheet, even if it did hurt like hell.

“Aaron?” I asked even though I already knew the answer. I hated how pathetic my voice sounded.

“I’m here princess.” He said again and I heard movement as he came and stood in front of the bed I was laying on. I felt the spot between my legs moisten at his deep voice. My wolf started to howl in my head at his proximity… we all knew what option she wanted to take out of this.

“Aaron… I didn’t think you were going to come. I panted, clenching my muscles as a minor pain started low in my belly.

“Of course I came, my princess was in pain.” Aaron murmured to me.

“N-no I meant that I didn’t think you were coming to get me. I t-thought that you were mad at me, that maybe… y-you had sold me.” I screamed as another wave racked through my body.

“How could you even think that Lean?” Aaron growled through his teeth. I could tell he was making a conscious effort not to touch me.

“You were mad at me… that night… you left.” I gasped out.

“Oh princess… I did something stupid. We were both drunk and I wanted you so badly. I came back a few hours later, but, you were already gone. I left the pack that morning to search for you. I never stopped. I’m so sorry Lea. Do you think you could ever forgive me princess?” Aaron pleaded with me. He was now on his knees in front of my bed. I screamed as another wave of pain hit me.

“Top drawer in the cabinet… three vicodin… and a glass of water.” I instructed him. If we were going to have a rational discussion I need to be able to focus. Well, as much as I could with my wolf wanting me to jump his bones. He brought me over the pills and water. His hands brushed mine as I took them, turning my skin to fire and my body to jelly. Judging by the way he hissed, it affected him as well. I quickly swallowed the pills and gulped down the water. Aaron took the glass without a word and went over to refill it, taking two pills himself. He handed me another glass of water and I drank it slower this time.

“Thank you.” I whispered as I reached out for his hand. He pulled away and sat back down in the chair furthest from the bed.

“Lea…”

“I’m s-s-sorry.” I yelped cutting him off. I curled into fetal position as pain came over me again. Why didn’t these stupid pills work?

“Lea, it is not your fault. Do you hear me? Don’t you dare blame yourself for this. I just don’t want to lose control of my wolf around you and at the moment that is very very hard. Pain pills dull my wolf as they do yours, but he is still just below the surface.”

“I don’t know what to do Aaron…” I cried clenching my jaw against the pain.

“Well, whatever you choose, I’m not leaving. I will not leave you again unless you tell me. Okay?” Aaron reassured me.

“Okay.” I all but mouthed back to him.

“Princess… also… I won’t do anything you don’t want me to do alright? Just tell me what you want and I will try my best not to lose control.” Aaron promised resolve hard in his voice.

“Aaron?” I questioned after a few minutes of silence.

“Yeah princess?”

“I missed seeing you.”

“I missed you too.”

“Will you come over to where I can see your face?”

“Do you trust me Lea?”

“Of course.” I answered without doubt. I didn’t hear anything for a few minutes; I started to think he had fallen asleep. That is, until I felt the bed dip. “Aaron?” I asked panicked as my body convulsed again.

“Hold very still Lea.” He ordered as he slipped up behind me. At first he didn’t touch me, just laid there a few inches from my naked body. “Are you okay princess?”

“Yes.” I whispered, trying to scoot back against him. He stopped me with one hand.

“If this is going to work, you need to hold very still.” Aaron all but growled through his gritted teeth.

“O-okay,” I whispered, holding back my basic urges as my body bucked off of the bed again, “’m sorry.”

“Just, stay very still. I don’t want to do anything that you wouldn’t want Lea.” He replied, his voice strained. I felt it as he moved close enough for my body to gently lie against the back of his. I bit my lip trying to hold back a scream. I heard Aaron pant with the effort he put into keeping his wolf at bay. I didn’t even dare to breathe as he slipped his arm around me. “How are you?”

“I can’t tell,” I replied moaning in want. Never in my life had I been so wet for any one, and he had barely touched me.

“I’ll take that as good,” He smirked against my neck, inhaling my scent deeply. “Princess, you have no idea how badly I want to flip you on your back and take you right now. That’s the funny thing about being half animal. Humans can’t even tell why they are more attracted to each other at certain times of the year. Really everything gives off pheromones in which the purpose is to attract a mate.”

“Oh really? Even starfish?” I asked trying to get my mind off of the burning sensation his skin created against mine. How the hard bulge in his pants pushed against my back…
