- Chapter 2 | i'll make you fall for me

A R I E L L A

“No, because I’m the coach babe.” I said as I stepped back and walked around him.

I walked to the doors of the school with everyone’s eyes following me, but before I went inside I turned my head to look at Damien and winked at his shocked face. Then I went through the doors and soon enough more people started murmuring about me.

There was a sign on the right that said it was the office, so I walked over there without sparing a glance at anyone as I walked by. Right when I walked in, there was a middle aged woman sitting at the desk.

“Hello, what can I help you with?” She asked with a smile.

“Hey, I’m Ariella Gonzalez and I’m new.” I said and her smile widened.

“Okay, here is your schedule and locker information.” She said handing me two pieces of paper.

“Thanks.” I said as I turned around to leave.

“No problem. I hope you enjoy it here.” She said happily and I just nodded my head trying not to seem rude as I left the office.

There wasn’t that many people in the halls as I made my way towards first period. I made it to my class just as the bell rang and everyone stared at me.

“Hi. You must be the new student. Would you like to tell us about you?” Asked the teacher.

“Hey. My names Ari Gonzalez. I hate school.” I said and walked to the back of class where a seat was next to the window.

“Um.. Ms. Gonzalez.. That seat is someone else’s.” The teacher says with wide eyes and as I look around, everyone is staring at me like they are scared or something.

“Too bad.” I reply leaning back in the chair and he nods his head as he begins the lesson.

I zone out and just look out the window when someone slams through the door. I can’t see their face as they walk towards the seat I’m in with a hoodie on.

“You’re in my seat.” He says with his hood still covering his face.

“Well there’s more than one seat in this class and I’m not moving.” I said and I noticed him clenching his fists as he moved his hood so I could see his face, making me gasp.

“Alec!” I almost yelled jumping out of my seat and wrapping my arms around him.

I felt him stiffen as he pulled me off him. “Who are you?” He asked and my face fell.

“Never Mind.. I’m sorry.. You just look like an old friend of mine..“I said looking away and he just looked confused.

“How did you know my name?” He asked and I knew.. I knew it was him.

“Alec?” I ask to make sure I was right.

“Yea.. How do you know my name?” He asked again almost glaring at me as I stepped towards him.

“It’s me..” I say trying to see if he will remember me without me saying my name, but he still looks confused.

“It’s me Alec.. It’s Ariel.” I say looking into his eyes as I say the nickname he gave me when we met..

Nobody knew why he never called me Ariella and they just thought it was too hard for him to remember, but they’re all wrong.

On the day we met he said that I was pretty like a princess and since there is a princess named Ariel, he only ever called me that.. Nobody else could.

I could see the realization in his eyes as he pulls me to him in a bone crushing hug.

“You’re actually here..” He whispers into my neck.

I just nod and hold him tighter, until we hear someone clear their throat.

Alec looks over at the teacher with a glare and he shuts up, just as the bell rings.

I grab my bag and start to walk out with Alec following me. As soon as we are out of the door we walk side by side to my locker.

“Ariel.. I missed you.” He says leaning against the locker next to mine.

“I missed you too Alec.” I said smiling.

“About that day Ariel.. I..” He starts to say, but I cut him off.

“It’s okay Alec.. We don’t need to talk about it. It was just in the spur of the moment.” I said with a small smile.

“No, Ariel.. It..” He starts to say, but stops and glares at something behind me.

“Hey babe.” I hear an annoying voice say behind me and I roll my eyes.

“What do you want?” I ask glancing over my shoulder.

“You..” He says and I roll my eyes again.

“Too bad.. Now go away, I’m busy.” I say turning my attention back to Alec.

“What.. With this guy? I’m so much better.” He says and Alec moves me aside.

His fists are clenched and he pulls his fist back about to punch Damien, but I can’t let him.. Right when he throws the punch I step in front of Damien and grab his fist with my hand.

All of a sudden I hear gasps around us and notice that everyone was watching us. Alec and Damien both stare at my hand that is holding onto Alec’s fist in shock and I quickly let go.

“How did you do that?” Alec asks.

“Do what?” I ask, trying my best to avoid what they are asking.

“How did you stop my fist without it hurting you?” He asked and Damien was still just looking at me in shock.

“Umm.. I just grabbed it.. The punch wasn’t that hard.” I said obviously looking around for an escape.

“Didn’t that hurt?” Damien asked staring at me intently.

“Yea?” I said more like a question.

“It doesn’t look like it.” They both said and glared at each other.

“Well, nice chat we had here.. I’m just going to go..” I said as I turned and started to quickly walk away when they both spoke.

“You’re different Ariel..”

“I’ll make you fall for me..”
