A Familiar Voice
"Agent Athena reporting." The young teen responded.
The brunette teen held the phone in her hand tensely as she saw the caller I.D., it was them.
"Athena, didn't think you'd actually pick up this time." the caller said. It was a familiar deep voice that was gentle but intimidating.
The caller has been trying to reach her and a few other agents for ages. Finally, after countless times they received an answer.
"Well, it has to be something important if you keep calling." Athena, as the agent went by, pointed out.
"I know you and the others said you would not do it but assemble the team; L.E.G.E.N.D. needs you." the male caller begged.
Athena stood there, not saying a word. She wondered if she should end the call or keep listening. Flashbacks from previous experiences on the force flooded her brain. Are the painful memories worth it? What good was it to keep going on with it?
"Athena! Listen to me, the case is back open, Viscardi is out there." said the caller. "I want you to meet me at Ellington apartment complex on 14th Street in Center City; room 326."
"And if I don't show up?"
"May I remind you, Agent, that I know where you are. I can see you from where I am right now. And for the record that beanie looks ridiculous on you, orange is clearly not your color." he said.
Athena quickly started to look the surroundings, hoping to find the caller.
"You won't be able to see me, Athena. You are to meet me tonight at 9pm." the caller told her and hung up the phone.
Frustrated, Athena looked at her phone time which read 8:46, only fourteen minutes until its time. As she was in the eastern part of uptown, it would take at least 20 minutes by bus or taxi due to heavy traffic.
"It would be quicker if I took the metro." She thought to herself.
Luckily, an underground metro station was nearby. She took out her boarding card keeping it handy and ran down the steps to the metro. After getting through the gates, she stood in the train, holding onto the rails. Getting on the train meant she had approximately 8 minutes to think why she did she ever turned to Agent Athena when she had the chance to stay as Myra Thompson.
