Prologue

“Dad! You won’t believe what just happened!” I pant out of breath as the door closed behind me. I leaned against it, trying to catch my breath. “Dad are you listening!?” I called again when I didn’t hear his usually loud yet calm tone.

Walking towards the living room without a care in the world, I stopped when I saw two other men sitting opposite my dad, their eyes on me. I cleared my throat and tore my eyes away from them and quietly walked towards my dad.

“Angel, sweetheart I’m busy right now.” He sighed and gestured to the other couch where the two gorgeous men were sitting.

“Dad this is important.” I glared without even greeting the guests. “Dad there is a man outside, unconscious on our yard.” I laughed trying to lighten up the mood, my father that went by Harry Smith, only furrowed his eyebrows at me in concern.

“Ángel, ¿qué has hecho ahora?” Angel what have you done now? He asked standing up and took a step towards me, which made me let out a blank laugh.

“Está bien, cálmate. Don’t get angry, let me tell you what happened.” Okay calm down. I sighed pushing his chest causing him to fall back down on the couch. He nodded as I readied myself for all the scolding I would receive after I tell him what happened.

“So...as I was walking home from the library, I saw an old woman who tried to cross the street but couldn’t for some weird reason.” I rolled my eyes, I mean the woman wasn’t even blind, like how hard can it be. Just cross the road!

“I decided to help her. What I didn’t know was that she was a little bit loca in her head because she thought I was trying to steal something from her. So, next thing I know is a freaking Godzilla running behind me saying that I’m a thief, so yeah I started running but then he caught me and... damn that dude was heavy dad.” Crazy. I laughed and paused, taking a deep breath, and then continued to talk, “so then I had to take matters into my own hands.” I smirked even though guilt and worry were starting to appear inside me.

“Now, there’s a man unconscious in our yard, I might have broken his arm too.” I grimaced and looked down feeling guilty now that I said it out loud. At least now I know all those lessons and training with my dad worked.

My eyes traveled to the two Greek gods who were sitting in our living room, why does it feel like I know them from somewhere. My thoughts got interrupted by my father’s scolding. “Angel you can’t do that to people just because they were chasing you, who knows maybe he just wanted to talk and sort things out!” My dad exclaimed and moved in front of me, placing his finger under my chin and tilting my head up.

“I know it’s just, I was scared who knows what he could have done to me.” I frowned looking at him. I was trying to block the memories that were trying to surface.

“Nothing is going to happen to you, querida I promise.” Darling. He said leaning down to kiss my forehead and pulling me in for a hug. Don’t make promises you can’t keep dad. I wish I could tell him that.

It was kind of hard to trust his promises now. I know what happened two years ago wasn’t his fault but I just couldn’t get it out of my head. If he wasn’t in the work of line that he was, maybe things wouldn’t have happened.

“Right. Now introduce yourself to the guests.” He said as he turned me around, my back to him, so I could finally see the sex gods without embarrassing myself. But good lord is this a punishment?

Because I’m really picturing myself between them as they have their way with me. “Good afternoon, I’m Angel, nice meeting you.” I said blushing from my thoughts and stretched out my hand to shake theirs. Both stood up to greet me.

“I’m Xavier and this is my brother Jason.” The blue eyed, handsome one said as he gestured towards his brother who grunted and pushed him away as he took a step forward.

“Jason, nice to meet you too, tesoro.” Darling. He said as I trailed my eyes up and down and my heart skipped a beat when I saw tattoos on his hands and peeking out of his shirt collar.

As you can see, I have a weakness for men with tattoos.

“Angel, you can go now I have business to handle.” My dad spoke placing his hands on my shoulders and turned me around.

“Jeez, dad you’re so fucking loving.” I sarcastically mumbled making the blue-eyed god known as Xavier chuckle while the other sexy god only let out a noise from his throat which I could identify as a growl, guess he doesn’t like cursing.

“Anyway, I have to go because I have a late shift at the bar and Alex called me over.” I said and smiled towards them. “Bye!” I said and both gave me a charming smile which I returned with one of my own sheepishly smile.

After I changed in some pair of black skinny jeans and a light blue crop top with a leather jacket over with some black heels, I made my way downstairs. I saw that my dad was still talking to Jason and Xavier. “Dad I’m leaving see you tomorrow in the morning don’t forget what we planned.” I said and smiled.

“Don’t worry sweetheart I’ll be waiting for you.” My dad answered as he made his way towards me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

“Goodbye Xavier and Jason it was nice meeting you both.” I said and flashed them a smile which they returned.
