Thriller / Action

During a high profile case, successful, renowned and rebellious UK Lawyer and ex Sandhurst Military Academy drop out Mark Lucas King is assigned the case of his career, to prosecute known terrorist Mohammed Al-Azidi, for an attempt to blow up several land marks in the UK. But all is not as it seems. MI6 want the terrorist to go free so they can use him to capture other terrorists and use his knowledge of terrorist organisations to gain the upper hand. Mark King wants justice. When a team of merciless hitmen targets Mark and his family, his peaceful and ordinary life is shattered and he is forced to leave his legal career behind him and take up his previous career as a British Army sniper, in order to catch those responsible and bring them to justice. However, Mark’s kind of justice doesn’t involve a court room. Not only is Mark battling highly trained hitmen, but a sinister organisation known as Invictus Advoca, is working behind the scenes, with a terrifying connection to Mark. Marks investigations take him across Europe as he hunts those responsible. Can he unravel the mysteries that shroud this secretive organisation and take down the assasins responsible for his pain?

Each one of us has a Mark King inside of us. Someone who goes through something horrific, who suffers immeasurable loss, and endures momentous pain, yet manages to grow from it and come out the other side, a stronger, wiser and better person. There is a difference between accepting the path that lies before you, and choosing to walk it.

So to those who have helped me, you know who you are and I thank you. To the others, those who said it couldn’t be done, or wouldn’t be done, I say look, read, understand and above all, judge not the faithful and the true, for there will be a day when those you have judged, judge you.

europeanlove: I gotta hand it to you. I love reading. I read books everyday. When the book is good I can read it in probably 13 hours. Your story was amazing. Great prose, very imaginative. Incredible dialogue. I am deeply impressed. Keep it up.

TruffleQueen: This piece of writing is more than just letters across a screen. Its more than just 40 chapters. Its a different world. And in that world, you get to experience so many things. I mean, you're practically sucked in there and once you just keep reading it gets harder and harder to get out. This st...

Spring: I normally don't read fiction novels, but I absolutely enjoyed reading Silent Shadows! The style is quite different from the previous fiction novels I've attempted to read. Great job!

AlexaDria: Well I'll be darned! I don't remember the last time I enjoyed a story/novel/book/thing that much! I enjoyed it so much that I finished it in a little over 10 hours... oops! I honestly can't wait to find and read the next one! I want more!!!

RiverSong: So, at first glance, I thought this was just going to be like any other werewolf book out there that you could find on Wattpad, but I was intrigued enough with the little bloop that I wanted to read more. Following that weird thing that I call curiosity, I found this thing called an obsession. Th...

FateFellShort: I have read this story and have followed the writers on tumblr from the beginning. Its a wonderful story. Beautifully written with a really nice pace, that makes it enjoyable to read more than once. For me, fairy tail has very good characters but what the writers have done is give them more depth...

Hannah Hall: This story will have you in tears in a good way. One of the best love stories written. Share with your friends and family!

ga1984: I really enjoyed it! Characters were deep and plot was pretty complex. A bit on the violent side but it doesnt detract from the story. Very dark but situations make sense. Ends kinda abruptly and later chapters will need some editing work. I'm assuming there's more in the works?

pikagirl311: Katie Masters has definite skill when it comes to plot work and characters. The story is well-paced and pulls you along with the tide, keeping you hooked until the very end. The only reason I did not give it five stars across the board is due to a few minor quibbles with misspellings and such lik...

John Smith: This is what Sci Fi is all about. Reads like early Heinlein. In the style of Space Cadets. No esoteric problems..but good ol blaster and space action with a host of relatable characters

263Adder: Okay so I adore this story. I only knocked one star off plot for historical inaccuracies because I'm a bit of a stickler for that. The ending broke my heart though, considering you already changed history couldn't you (SPOILER) change it a bit more and have them together!!!! I want an alternative...
