The Boring Life I Live
Dear Diary,
I thought I, Kaitlin Collins, (But I only go by Kate) would never have anything to write in here because I have no life what-so-ever. If you're like my bestie Sam and don't believe me, I'd tell you to ask Tiffany the queen b-word of my school because she makes sure to remind me of how pathetic I am every opportunity I have. However, you're an inanimate object and thus incapable of asking her. That's why I'm going to elaborate on how dull my existence is. Every day is the same routine - wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast, go to school, head home, do homework , eat dinner, shower, sleep, and repeat it all the next day. It's exciting I know. (Insert roll of eyes here) That's what I get for living in a town where there's nothing but Christmas and to look forward to. Just for once I'd like something new and interesting to happen. I need some adventure in my life, something to give it real meaning and purpose. I'm not gonna life forever, but luckily my school recently started a foreign exchange program as some sort of "learn about cultures of other countries" project. For me, it's more of a "my ticket out of spending my life in a place only the residents and God know of" project. I want to sign up because I am qualified with my high grade point average. (Not to brag or anything) However, I need to nag my parents into submission, I mean convince my parents that this is a great opportunity that will help me grow as an independent person. Wish me luck because I'll need it with parents like mine. I love them but they can be a bit protective and by a bit I mean very. Well, I'll be back to tell you what they say.
