Chapter 11: newcomer

Alpha Eli

I hid my scent again, so no one could follow my scent trail. A look of disappointment crossed Zenyas face. I gave her a small smile. My wolf, EliMoon, was going crazy about being near SadieDash.

Be quiet! You're giving me a headache! I screamed at him, my head beginning to throb.

Mate! Was his only response. I rolled my eyes and looked at Zenya.

She had long black hair that fell over her shoulders. It was knotted and stuck to her face and neck with sweat. She had startling blue eyes that seemed to take in everything at once, her eyes had a twinkle to them, which you don't find in a place like this. She had olive skin and a slim figure, she had a sadness behind her eyes that she tried to hide.

"Have... has... oh, nothing!" I said exasperated. I tried to ask about her past, but I didn't want to hurt her.

"What?" Zenya asked me. I shook my head. "What?" She asked again.

"Why do you seem to have a sorrow that you try to hide?" I asked her quickly, before I could back out. Her expression changed from open, to closed off. She suddenly looked very dangerous.

"I don't!" She said angrily, glaring at me. Though she didn't show any emotion, I could tell she was hurt. That's the bad thing about once you find your mate, you can tell what they're feeling.

"Sorry to intrude, but I must know why you hold so much sorrow in your eyes." I said desperate to help her in any way I could.

"No, you don't!" She said sternly, turning away from me and stalking away. I was about to run after her, when I decided against it.

"Why can't I just keep my mouth shut?" I muttered to myself.

Cause you're you. EliMoon said to me.

Thank a lot. I said sarcastically.

You're welcome. He told me, I rolled my eyes.

Zenya

I stalked away, trying to hide my emotions. Alpha Eli watched me stalk away with a regretful expression on his face. What he didn't see was the tears that ran down my cheek as I remembered my parents. Tears ran down my face as I stalked away.

When I was out of view, I slumped against a stack of crates and hugged my knees to my chest. I put my head down and cried.

Alpha Eli

I watched as she disappeared behind the crates. I slumped against the wall and looked up at the ceiling, leaning my head against the wall. The cold, stone wall pressed against the back of my head. The end of a nail- not the sharp end- dug into my shoulder.

I shifted my position and sighed with regret. Why did I have to be so pushy about it? I asked myself.

Because you're Eli. My wolf said.

Gee, thanks! I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

You're wel-, my wolf began.

Hush! I shouted, he tried to argue, but I shut him out. I listened intently. There was the soft patter of footsteps. I tensed and held my breath. The footsteps got louder.

I saw a bit of fur sweep by a crate. I tensed and watched as the fur came into view more. I saw a tail, it was a white color that was close to silver. More of the wolf came into view. It was a white wolf that had a black spot on her eye, and a light brown spot on her ear. She backed up slowly, swinging her head back and forth.

I slipped into the shadows, merging with EliMoon. His dark brown fur blended into the shadows, hiding us better. She backed into a stack of boxes, sending them toppling over. She gave out a startled yelp and jumped behind a stack of crates and boxes. Her tail swung behind her, her back to me.

I tensed and crouched, then lunged. She turned her head as I landed on her back. She gave a startled yelp, that turned into a pained howl as my claws sunk into her back. She swung her head around and snapped at me, forcing be back.

I backed up slowly, watching her every move. She shook and growled at me. Then she changed from wolf, to human. She was a werewolf. I slowly backed into the shadows before returning to my human form.

I could tell she didn't mean any harm. I slowly approached her, tensed in case she attacked. I slowly walked back into the light and she stepped back a bit when she saw me in the light. She had a suprised expression on her face.

"A-Alpha Eli. Pleased to meet you." She said, apparently she knew me.

"Who are you?" I asked. "How do you know me?"

She took a deep breath. "My name is Rae, my wolfs name is RaeCrystal." She told me. "You are one of the most famous werewolf alphas in the world."

"Well, Rae, what are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Well, I am not... normal." She said, hesitating before continuing. "My pack kicked me out."

"What do you mean you're not normal?" I asked her, narrowing my eyes.

"I can't tell you that." She muttered looking down.

"What do you mean?" I asked again, narrowing my eyes more.

"Argh!" She said and grabbed her hair and pulled it in frustration. She had light blonde hair that was in a braid over her shoulder. She had a pair of glasses in her pocket. She had blue eyes. "I can't tell you."

"Why can't you tell me? You kind of stumbled onto my territory." I pointed out.

"I want to, but I can't!" She said exasperated. "You would throw me out on the run too."

"No, I won't. I promise on my pack." I told her, a look of shocked look flashed across her face. Promising upon your pack, was saying that if you broke your promise, there was no going back. Even if you were an alpha, you would get kicked out of the pack.

"Okay." She said hesitantly, taking a few deep breaths. "I am not fully werewolf."

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"I am only half werewolf, the other half is... is vampire." She said, lowering her voice on the last word. My eyes widened and I was completely shocked.

"H-how is that possible?" I asked her in awe.

"Well, I was a werewolf, but then I was turned into a vampire." She said, sighing. "After they found out, my pack kicked me out and have been hunting me down."

"I'm so sorry, you can stay with my pack." I said, understanding more than she knew. I too had been kicked out of my pack, but it was for something my parents had done, not me.

"I-I can?" She asked suprised at my willingness.

"Of course." I told her. "Follow me."

I led her to the middle of the warehouse, where we had pack meetings. I called to pack and told them about Rae. As I looked at my pack, I noticed one person was missing. Zenya, my mate.

Zenya

Alpha Eli called the pack, but I didn't go. I didn't want to face him. I had hurt my mate. I heard that there was a knew member joining the pack, I decided to meet them later. I had left my spot my the crates and had stopped crying, though now I was just wandering around.

I walked around the warehouse, not going anywhere specific. I had just turned a corner, when a pain shot up my ankle and everything went black.
