Romans Chapter 11
1 I say thenHath God cast away his peopleGod forbid. For Ialso am an Israeliteof the seed of Abrahamof the tribe ofBenjamin.
2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot yenot what the scripture saith of Eliashow he makethintercession to God against Israel saying
3 Lordthey have killed thy prophetsand digged down thinealtarsand I am left aloneand they seek my life.
4 But what saith the answer of God unto himI have reserved tomyself seven thousand menwho have not bowed the knee to theimage of Baal.
5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnantaccording to the election of grace.
6 And if by gracethen is it no more of worksotherwise graceis no more grace. But if it be of worksthen it is no moregraceotherwise work is no more work.
7 What thenIsrael hath not obtained that which he seeketh for but the election hath obtained itand the rest were blinded.
8According as it is writtenGod hath given them the spirit ofslumbereyes that they should not seeand ears that theyshould not hear unto this day.
9 And David saithLet their table be made a snareand a trapand a stumblingblockand a recompence unto them
10 Let their eyes be darkenedthat they may not seeand bowdown their back alway.
11 I say thenHave they stumbled that they should fallGodforbidbut rather through their fall salvation is come untothe Gentilesfor to provoke them to jealousy.
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the worldand thediminishing of them the riches of the Gentileshow much moretheir fulness
13 For I speak to you Gentilesinasmuch as I am the apostle ofthe GentilesI magnify mine office
14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are myfleshand might save some of them.
15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of theworldwhat shall the receiving of them bebut life from thedead
16 For if the firstfruit be holythe lump is also holyand ifthe root be holyso are the branches.
17 And if some of the branches be broken offand thoubeing awild olive treewert graffed in among themand with thempartakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boastthoubearest not the rootbut the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say thenThe branches were broken offthat I mightbe graffed in.
20 Wellbecause of unbelief they were broken offand thoustandest by faith. Be not highmindedbut fear
21 For if God spared not the natural branchestake heed lest healso spare not thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of Godon themwhich fellseveritybut toward theegoodnessif thoucontinue in his goodnessotherwise thou also shalt be cutoff.
23 And they alsoif they abide not still in unbeliefshall begraffed infor God is able to graff them in again.
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild bynatureand wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olivetreehow much more shall thesewhich be the naturalbranchesbe graffed into their own olive tree
25 For I would notbrethrenthat ye should be ignorant of thismysterylest ye should be wise in your own conceitsthatblindness in part is happened to Israeluntil the fulness ofthe Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be savedas it is writtenThereshall come out of Sion the Delivererand shall turn awayungodliness from Jacob
27 For this is my covenant unto themwhen I shall take awaytheir sins.
28 As concerning the gospelthey are enemies for your sakesbutas touching the electionthey are beloved for the father ssakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
30 For as ye in times past have not believed Godyet have nowobtained mercy through their unbelief
31 Even so have these also now not believedthat through yourmercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 For God hath concluded them all in unbeliefthat he mighthave mercy upon all.
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge ofGodhow unsearchable are his judgmentsand his ways pastfinding out
34 For who hath known the mind of the Lordor who hath been hiscounsellor
35 Or who hath first given to himand it shall be recompensedunto him again
36 For of himand through himand to himare all thingstowhom be glory for ever. Amen.
