Whosoever therefore resisteth the powerresisteth theordinance of Godand they that resist shall receive tothemselves damnation.
For rulers are not a terror to good worksbut to the evil.Wilt thou then not be afraid of the powerdo that which isgoodand thou shalt have praise of the same
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou dothat which is evilbe afraidfor he beareth not the sword invainfor he is the minister of Goda revenger to executewrath upon him that doeth evil.
Wherefore ye must needs be subjectnot only for wrathbutalso for conscience sake.
For for this cause pay ye tribute alsofor they are God sministersattending continually upon this very thing.
Render therefore to all their duestribute to whom tribute isduecustom to whom customfear to whom fearhonour to whomhonour.
