Corinthians Chapter 1

Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the willof Godand Sosthenes our brother

Unto the church of God which is at Corinthto them that aresanctified in Christ Jesuscalled to be saintswith all thatin every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord both their s and our s

Grace be unto youand peacefrom God our Fatherand fromthe Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God always on your behalffor the grace of Godwhich is given you by Jesus Christ

That in every thing ye are enriched by himin all utteranceand in all knowledge

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you

So that ye come behind in no giftwaiting for the coming ofour Lord Jesus Christ

Who shall also confirm you unto the endthat ye may beblameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is faithfulby whom ye were called unto the fellowship ofhis Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now I beseech youbrethrenby the name of our Lord JesusChristthat ye all speak the same thingand that there be nodivisions among youbut that ye be perfectly joined togetherin the same mind and in the same judgment.

For it hath been declared unto me of youmy brethrenby themwhich are of the house of Chloethat there are contentionsamong you.

Now this I saythat every one of you saithI am of PaulandI of Apollosand I of Cephasand I of Christ.

Is Christ dividedwas Paul crucified for youor were yebaptized in the name of Paul

I thank God that I baptized none of youbut Crispus andGaius

Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

And I baptized also the household of StephanasbesidesIknow not whether I baptized any other.

For Christ sent me not to baptizebut to preach the gospelnot with wisdom of wordslest the cross of Christ should bemade of none effect.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perishfoolishnessbut unto us which are saved it is the power ofGod.

For it is writtenI will destroy the wisdom of the wiseandwill bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

Where is the wisewhere is the scribewhere is the disputerof this worldhath not God made foolish the wisdom of thisworld

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knewnot Godit pleased God by the foolishness of preaching tosave them that believe.

For the Jews require a signand the Greeks seek after wisdom

But we preach Christ crucifiedunto the Jews astumblingblockand unto the Greeks foolishness

But unto them which are calledboth Jews and GreeksChristthe power of Godand the wisdom of God.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than menand theweakness of God is stronger than men.

For ye see your callingbrethrenhow that not many wise menafter the fleshnot many mightynot many nobleare called

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world toconfound the wiseand God hath chosen the weak things of theworld to confound the things which are mighty

And base things of the worldand things which are despisedhath God chosenyeaand things which are notto bring tonought things that are

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesuswho of God is made unto uswisdomand righteousnessand sanctificationand redemption

Thataccording as it is writtenHe that gloriethlet himglory in the Lord.
