Corinthians Chapter 4

1 Let a man so account of usas of the ministers of Christandstewards of the mysteries of God.

2 Moreover it is required in stewardsthat a man be foundfaithful.

3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judgedof youor of man s judgmentyeaI judge not mine own self.

4 For I know nothing by myselfyet am I not hereby justifiedbut he that judgeth me is the Lord.

5 Therefore judge nothing before the timeuntil the Lord comewho both will bring to light the hidden things of darknessand will make manifest the counsels of the heartsand thenshall every man have praise of God.

6 And these thingsbrethrenI have in a figure transferred tomyself and to Apollos for your sakesthat ye might learn inus not to think of men above that which is writtenthat noone of you be puffed up for one against another.

7 For who maketh thee to differ from anotherand what hast thouthat thou didst not receivenow if thou didst receive itwhydost thou gloryas if thou hadst not received it

8 Now ye are fullnow ye are richye have reigned as kingswithout usand I would to God ye did reignthat we alsomight reign with you.

9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles lastasit were appointed to deathfor we are made a spectacle untothe worldand to angelsand to men.

10 We are fools for Christ s sakebut ye are wise in Christweare weakbut ye are strongye are honourablebut we aredespised.

11 Even unto this present hour we both hungerand thirstandare nakedand are buffetedand have no certaindwellingplace

12 And labourworking with our own handsbeing reviledweblessbeing persecutedwe suffer it

13 Being defamedwe intreatwe are made as the filth of theworldand are the offscouring of all things unto this day.

14 I write not these things to shame youbut as my beloved sonsI warn you.

15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christyethave ye not many fathersfor in Christ Jesus I have begottenyou through the gospel.

16 Wherefore I beseech yoube ye followers of me.

17 For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheuswho is mybeloved sonand faithful in the Lordwho shall bring youinto remembrance of my ways which be in Christas I teachevery where in every church.

18 Now some are puffed upas though I would not come to you.

19 But I will come to you shortlyif the Lord willand willknownot the speech of them which are puffed upbut thepower.

20 For the kingdom of God is not in wordbut in power.

21 What will yeshall I come unto you with a rodor in love and in the spirit of meekness
