Corinthians Chapter 8

Now as touching things offered unto idolswe know that we allhave knowledge. Knowledge puffeth upbut charity edifieth.

And if any man think that he knoweth any thinghe knowethnothing yet as he ought to know.

But if any man love Godthe same is known of him.

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that areoffered in sacrifice unto idolswe know that an idol isnothing in the worldand that there is none other God butone.

For though there be that are called godswhether in heaven orin earth as there be gods manyand lords many

But to us there is but one Godthe Fatherof whom are allthingsand we in himand one Lord Jesus Christby whom areall thingsand we by him.

Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledgefor somewith conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thingoffered unto an idoland their conscience being weak isdefiled.

But meat commendeth us not to Godfor neitherif we eatarewe the betterneitherif we eat notare we the worse.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your s becomea stumblingblock to them that are weak.

For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat inthe idol s templeshall not the conscience of him which isweak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered toidols

And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perishforwhom Christ died

But when ye sin so against the brethrenand wound their weakconscienceye sin against Christ.

Whereforeif meat make my brother to offendI will eat noflesh while the world standethlest I make my brother tooffend.
