Corinthians Chapter 10

MoreoverbrethrenI would not that ye should be ignoranthow that all our fathers were under the cloudand all passedthrough the sea

And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea

And did all eat the same spiritual meat

And did all drink the same spiritual drinkfor they drank ofthat spiritual Rock that followed themand that Rock wasChrist.

But with many of them God was not well pleasedfor they wereoverthrown in the wilderness.

Now these things were our examplesto the intent we shouldnot lust after evil thingsas they also lusted.

Neither be ye idolatersas were some of themas it iswrittenThe people sat down to eat and drinkand rose up toplay.

Neither let us commit fornicationas some of them committedand fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

Neither let us tempt Christas some of them also temptedandwere destroyed of serpents.

Neither murmur yeas some of them also murmuredand weredestroyed of the destroyer.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamplesandthey are written for our admonitionupon whom the ends of theworld are come.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest hefall.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common tomanbut God is faithfulwho will not suffer you to betempted above that ye are ablebut will with the temptationalso make a way to escapethat ye may be able to bear it.

Whereforemy dearly belovedflee from idolatry.

I speak as to wise menjudge ye what I say.

The cup of blessing which we blessis it not the communion ofthe blood of ChristThe bread which we breakis it not thecommunion of the body of Christ

For we being many are one breadand one bodyfor we are allpartakers of that one bread.

Behold Israel after the fleshare not they which eat of thesacrifices partakers of the altar

What say I thenthat the idol is any thingor that which isoffered in sacrifice to idols is any thing

But I saythat the things which the Gentiles sacrificetheysacrifice to devilsand not to Godand I would not that yeshould have fellowship with devils.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lordand the cup of devilsyecannot be partakers of the Lord s tableand of the table ofdevils.

Do we provoke the Lord to jealousyare we stronger than he

All things are lawful for mebut all things are notexpedientall things are lawful for mebut all things edifynot.

Let no man seek his ownbut every man another s wealth.

Whatsoever is sold in the shamblesthat eatasking noquestion for conscience sake

For the earth is the Lord sand the fulness thereof.

If any of them that believe not bid you to a feastand ye bedisposed to gowhatsoever is set before youeatasking noquestion for conscience sake.

But if any man say unto youThis is offered in sacrifice untoidolseat not for his sake that shewed itand for consciencesakefor the earth is the Lord sand the fulness thereof

ConscienceI saynot thine ownbut of the otherfor why ismy liberty judged of another man s conscience

For if I by grace be a partakerwhy am I evil spoken of forthat for which I give thanks

Whether therefore ye eator drinkor whatsoever ye dodoall to the glory of God.

Give none offenceneither to the Jewsnor to the Gentilesnor to the church of God

Even as I please all men in all thingsnot seeking mine ownprofitbut the profit of manythat they may be saved.
