Corinthians Chapter 15
MoreoverbrethrenI declare unto you the gospel which Ipreached unto youwhich also ye have receivedand wherein yestand
By which also ye are savedif ye keep in memory what Ipreached unto youunless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I alsoreceivedhow that Christ died for our sins according to thescriptures
And that he was buriedand that he rose again the third dayaccording to the scriptures
And that he was seen of Cephasthen of the twelve
After thathe was seen of above five hundred brethren atonceof whom the greater part remain unto this presentbutsome are fallen asleep.
After thathe was seen of Jamesthen of all the apostles.
And last of all he was seen of me alsoas of one born out ofdue time.
For I am the least of the apostlesthat am not meet to becalled an apostlebecause I persecuted the church of God.
But by the grace of God I am what I amand his grace whichwas bestowed upon me was not in vainbut I laboured moreabundantly than they allyet not Ibut the grace of Godwhich was with me.
Therefore whether it were I or theyso we preachand so yebelieved.
Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the deadhow saysome among you that there is no resurrection of the dead
But if there be no resurrection of the deadthen is Christnot risen
And if Christ be not risenthen is our preaching vainandyour faith is also vain.
Yeaand we are found false witnesses of Godbecause we havetestified of God that he raised up Christwhom he raised notupif so be that the dead rise not.
For if the dead rise notthen is not Christ raised
And if Christ be not raisedyour faith is vainye are yet inyour sins.
Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
If in this life only we have hope in Christwe are of all menmost miserable.
But now is Christ risen from the deadand become thefirstfruits of them that slept.
For since by man came deathby man came also the resurrectionof the dead.
For as in Adam all dieeven so in Christ shall all be madealive.
But every man in his own orderChrist the firstfruitsafterward they that are Christ s at his coming.
Then cometh the endwhen he shall have delivered up thekingdom to Godeven the Fatherwhen he shall have put downall rule and all authority and power.
For he must reigntill he hath put all enemies under hisfeet.
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saithall things are put under himit is manifest that he isexceptedwhich did put all things under him.
And when all things shall be subdued unto himthen shall theSon also himself be subject unto him that put all things underhimthat God may be all in all.
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the deadifthe dead rise not at allwhy are they then baptized for thedead
And why stand we in jeopardy every hour
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus ourLordI die daily.
If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts atEphesuswhat advantageth it meif the dead rise notlet useat and drinkfor to morrow we die.
Be not deceivedevil communications corrupt good manners.
Awake to righteousnessand sin notfor some have not theknowledge of GodI speak this to your shame.
But some man will sayHow are the dead raised upand withwhat body do they come
Thou foolthat which thou sowest is not quickenedexcept itdie
And that which thou sowestthou sowest not that body thatshall bebut bare grainit may chance of wheator of someother grain
But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased himand to everyseed his own body.
All flesh is not the same fleshbut there is one kind offlesh of menanother flesh of beastsanother of fishesandanother of birds.
There are also celestial bodiesand bodies terrestrialbutthe glory of the celestial is oneand the glory of theterrestrial is another.
There is one glory of the sunand another glory of the moonand another glory of the starsfor one star differeth fromanother star in glory.
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown incorruptionit is raised in incorruption
It is sown in dishonourit is raised in gloryit is sown inweaknessit is raised in power
It is sown a natural bodyit is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural bodyand there is a spiritual body.
And so it is writtenThe first man Adam was made a livingsoulthe last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritualbut that whichis naturaland afterward that which is spiritual.
The first man is of the earthearthythe second man is theLord from heaven.
As is the earthysuch are they also that are earthyand asis the heavenlysuch are they also that are heavenly.
And as we have borne the image of the earthywe shall alsobear the image of the heavenly.
Now this I saybrethrenthat flesh and blood cannot inheritthe kingdom of Godneither doth corruption inheritincorruption.
BeholdI shew you a mysteryWe shall not all sleepbut weshall all be changed
In a momentin the twinkling of an eyeat the last trump for the trumpet shall soundand the dead shall be raisedincorruptibleand we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruptionand this mortalmust put on immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruptionandthis mortal shall have put on immortalitythen shall bebrought to pass the saying that is writtenDeath is swallowedup in victory.
O deathwhere is thy stingO gravewhere is thy victory
The sting of death is sinand the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to Godwhich giveth us the victory through ourLord Jesus Christ.
Thereforemy beloved brethrenbe ye stedfastunmoveable always abounding in the work of the Lordforasmuch as ye knowthat your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
