Paulan apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of GodandTimothy our brotherunto the church of God which is atCorinthwith all the saints which are in all Achaia

Grace be to you and peace from God our Fatherand from theLord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be Godeven the Father of our Lord Jesus ChristtheFather of merciesand the God of all comfort

Who comforteth us in all our tribulationthat we may be ableto comfort them which are in any troubleby the comfortwherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

For as the sufferings of Christ abound in usso ourconsolation also aboundeth by Christ.

And whether we be afflictedit is for your consolation andsalvationwhich is effectual in the enduring of the samesufferings which we also sufferor whether we be comforted it is for your consolation and salvation.

And our hope of you is stedfastknowingthat as ye arepartakers of the sufferingsso shall ye be also of theconsolation.

For we would notbrethrenhave you ignorant of our troublewhich came to us in Asiathat we were pressed out of measureabove strengthinsomuch that we despaired even of life

But we had the sentence of death in ourselvesthat we shouldnot trust in ourselvesbut in God which raiseth the dead

Who delivered us from so great a deathand doth deliverinwhom we trust that he will yet deliver us

Ye also helping together by prayer for usthat for the giftbestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may begiven by many on our behalf.

For our rejoicing is thisthe testimony of our conscience that in simplicity and godly sinceritynot with fleshlywisdombut by the grace of Godwe have had our conversationin the worldand more abundantly to you ward.

For we write none other things unto youthan what ye read oracknowledgeand I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end

As also ye have acknowledged us in partthat we are yourrejoicingeven as ye also are our s in the day of the LordJesus.

And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before that ye might have a second benefit

And to pass by you into Macedoniaand to come again out ofMacedonia unto youand of you to be brought on my way towardJudaea.

When I therefore was thus mindeddid I use lightnessor thethings that I purposedo I purpose according to the fleshthat with me there should be yea yeaand nay nay

But as God is trueour word toward you was not yea and nay.

For the Son of GodJesus Christwho was preached among youby useven by me and Silvanus and Timotheuswas not yea andnaybut in him was yea.

For all the promises of God in him are yeaand in him Amenunto the glory of God by us.

Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christand hathanointed usis God

Who hath also sealed usand given the earnest of the Spiritin our hearts.

Moreover I call God for a record upon my soulthat to spareyou I came not as yet unto Corinth.
