Corinthians Chapter 2
But I determined this with myselfthat I would not come againto you in heaviness.
For if I make you sorrywho is he then that maketh me gladbut the same which is made sorry by me
And I wrote this same unto youlestwhen I cameI shouldhave sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoicehavingconfidence in you allthat my joy is the joy of you all.
For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote untoyou with many tearsnot that ye should be grievedbut thatye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
But if any have caused griefhe hath not grieved mebut inpartthat I may not overcharge you all.
Sufficient to such a man is this punishmentwhich wasinflicted of many.
So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive himandcomfort himlest perhaps such a one should be swallowed upwith overmuch sorrow.
Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love towardhim.
For to this end also did I writethat I might know the proofof youwhether ye be obedient in all things.
To whom ye forgive any thingI forgive alsofor if I forgaveany thingto whom I forgave itfor your sakes forgave I itin the person of Christ
Lest Satan should get an advantage of usfor we are notignorant of his devices.
Furthermorewhen I came to Troas to preach Christ s gospeland a door was opened unto me of the Lord
I had no rest in my spiritbecause I found not Titus mybrotherbut taking my leave of themI went from thence intoMacedonia.
Now thanks be unto Godwhich always causeth us to triumph inChristand maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by usin every place.
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christin them that aresavedand in them that perish
To the one we are the savour of death unto deathand to theother the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient forthese things
For we are not as manywhich corrupt the word of Godbut asof sinceritybut as of Godin the sight of God speak we inChrist.
