Corinthians Chapter 3
Do we begin again to commend ourselvesor need weas someothersepistles of commendation to youor letters ofcommendation from you
Ye are our epistle written in our heartsknown and read ofall men
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle ofChrist ministered by uswritten not with inkbut with theSpirit of the living Godnot in tables of stonebut infleshy tables of the heart.
And such trust have we through Christ to God ward
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing asof ourselvesbut our sufficiency is of God
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testamentnotof the letterbut of the spiritfor the letter killethbutthe spirit giveth life.
But if the ministration of deathwritten and engraven instoneswas gloriousso that the children of Israel could notstedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of hiscountenancewhich glory was to be done away
How shall not the ministration of the spirit be ratherglorious
For if the ministration of condemnation be glorymuch moredoth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
For even that which was made glorious had no glory in thisrespectby reason of the glory that excelleth.
For if that which is done away was gloriousmuch more thatwhich remaineth is glorious.
Seeing then that we have such hopewe use great plainness ofspeech
And not as Moseswhich put a vail over his facethat thechildren of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end ofthat which is abolished
But their minds were blindedfor until this day remaineth thesame vail untaken away in the reading of the old testamentwhich vail is done away in Christ.
But even unto this daywhen Moses is readthe vail is upontheir heart.
Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lordthe vail shall betaken away.
Now the Lord is that Spiritand where the Spirit of the Lordisthere is liberty.
But we allwith open face beholding as in a glass the gloryof the Lordare changed into the same image from glory togloryeven as by the Spirit of the Lord.
