Corinthians Chapter 5

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle weredissolvedwe have a building of Godan house not made withhandseternal in the heavens.

For in this we groanearnestly desiring to be clothed uponwith our house which is from heaven

If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

For we that are in this tabernacle do groanbeing burdened not for that we would be unclothedbut clothed uponthatmortality might be swallowed up of life.

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is Godwhoalso hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

Therefore we are always confidentknowing thatwhilst we areat home in the bodywe are absent from the Lord

For we walk by faithnot by sight

We are confidentI sayand willing rather to be absent fromthe bodyand to be present with the Lord.

Wherefore we labourthatwhether present or absentwe maybe accepted of him.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christthat every one may receive the things done in his bodyaccording to that he hath donewhether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lordwe persuade menbutwe are made manifest unto Godand I trust also are mademanifest in your consciences.

For we commend not ourselves again unto youbut give youoccasion to glory on our behalfthat ye may have somewhat toanswer them which glory in appearanceand not in heart.

For whether we be beside ourselvesit is to Godor whetherwe be soberit is for your cause.

For the love of Christ constraineth usbecause we thus judgethat if one died for allthen were all dead

And that he died for allthat they which live should nothenceforth live unto themselvesbut unto him which died forthemand rose again.

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the fleshyeathough we have known Christ after the fleshyet nowhenceforth know we him no more.

Therefore if any man be in Christhe is a new creatureoldthings are passed awaybeholdall things are become new.

And all things are of Godwho hath reconciled us to himselfby Jesus Christand hath given to us the ministry ofreconciliation

To witthat God was in Christreconciling the world untohimselfnot imputing their trespasses unto themand hathcommitted unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christas though God didbeseech you by uswe pray you in Christ s steadbe yereconciled to God.

For he hath made him to be sin for uswho knew no sinthatwe might be made the righteousness of God in him.
