Galatians Chapter 4

Now I sayThat the heiras long as he is a childdifferethnothing from a servantthough he be lord of all

But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed ofthe father.

Even so wewhen we were childrenwere in bondage under theelements of the world

But when the fulness of the time was comeGod sent forth hisSonmade of a womanmade under the law

To redeem them that were under the lawthat we might receivethe adoption of sons.

And because ye are sonsGod hath sent forth the Spirit of hisSon into your heartscryingAbbaFather.

Wherefore thou art no more a servantbut a sonand if a sonthen an heir of God through Christ.

Howbeit thenwhen ye knew not Godye did service unto themwhich by nature are no gods.

But nowafter that ye have known Godor rather are known ofGodhow turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage

Ye observe daysand monthsand timesand years.

I am afraid of youlest I have bestowed upon you labour invain.

BrethrenI beseech yoube as I amfor I am as ye areyehave not injured me at all.

Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached thegospel unto you at the first.

And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised notnorrejectedbut received me as an angel of Godeven as ChristJesus.

Where is then the blessedness ye spake offor I bear yourecordthatif it had been possibleye would have pluckedout your own eyesand have given them to me.

Am I therefore become your enemybecause I tell you thetruth

They zealously affect youbut not wellyeathey wouldexclude youthat ye might affect them.

But it is good to be zealously affected always in a goodthingand not only when I am present with you.

My little childrenof whom I travail in birth again untilChrist be formed in you

I desire to be present with you nowand to change my voicefor I stand in doubt of you.

Tell meye that desire to be under the lawdo ye not hearthe law

For it is writtenthat Abraham had two sonsthe one by abondmaidthe other by a freewoman.

But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the fleshbuthe of the freewoman was by promise.

Which things are an allegoryfor these are the two covenants the one from the mount Sinaiwhich gendereth to bondage which is Agar.

For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabiaand answereth toJerusalem which now isand is in bondage with her children.

But Jerusalem which is above is freewhich is the mother ofus all.

For it is writtenRejoicethou barren that bearest not break forth and crythou that travailest notfor thedesolate hath many more children than she which hath anhusband.

Now webrethrenas Isaac wasare the children of promise.

But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted himthat was born after the Spiriteven so it is now.

Nevertheless what saith the scriptureCast out the bondwomanand her sonfor the son of the bondwoman shall not be heirwith the son of the freewoman.

So thenbrethrenwe are not children of the bondwomanbutof the free.
