Ephesians Chapter 6

1 Childrenobey your parents in the Lordfor this is right.

2 Honour thy father and motherwhich is the first commandmentwith promise

3 That it may be well with theeand thou mayest live long onthe earth.

4 Andye fathersprovoke not your children to wrathbut bringthem up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

5 Servantsbe obedient to them that are your masters accordingto the fleshwith fear and tremblingin singleness of yourheartas unto Christ

6 Not with eyeserviceas menpleasersbut as the servants ofChristdoing the will of God from the heart

7 With good will doing serviceas to the Lordand not to men

8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeththe sameshall he receive of the Lordwhether he be bond or free.

9 Andye mastersdo the same things unto themforbearingthreateningknowing that your Master also is in heaven neither is there respect of persons with him.

10 Finallymy brethrenbe strong in the Lordand in the powerof his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of Godthat ye may be able to standagainst the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and bloodbut againstprincipalitiesagainst powersagainst the rulers of thedarkness of this worldagainst spiritual wickedness in highplaces.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of Godthat ye maybe able to withstand in the evil dayand having done alltostand.

14 Stand thereforehaving your loins girt about with truthandhaving on the breastplate of righteousness

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel ofpeace

16 Above alltaking the shield of faithwherewith ye shall beable to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvationand the sword of the Spiritwhich is the word of God

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplicationfor all saints

19 And for methat utterance may be given unto methat I mayopen my mouth boldlyto make known the mystery of the gospel

20 For which I am an ambassador in bondsthat therein I mayspeak boldlyas I ought to speak.

21 But that ye also may know my affairsand how I doTychicus a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lordshallmake known to you all things

22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purposethat ye mightknow our affairsand that he might comfort your hearts.

23 Peace be to the brethrenand love with faithfrom God theFather and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ insincerity. Amen.
