Colossians Chapter 3

1 If ye then be risen with Christseek those things which areabovewhere Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things abovenot on things on theearth.

3 For ye are deadand your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 When Christwho is our lifeshall appearthen shall ye alsoappear with him in glory.

5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth fornicationuncleannessinordinate affectionevilconcupiscenceand covetousnesswhich is idolatry

6 For which thingssake the wrath of God cometh on the childrenof disobedience

7 In the which ye also walked some timewhen ye lived in them.

8 But now ye also put off all theseangerwrathmaliceblasphemyfilthy communication out of your mouth.

9 Lie not one to anotherseeing that ye have put off the oldman with his deeds

10 And have put on the new manwhich is renewed in knowledgeafter the image of him that created him

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jewcircumcision noruncircumcisionBarbarianScythianbond nor freebut Christis alland in all.

12 Put on thereforeas the elect of Godholy and belovedbowels of mercieskindnesshumbleness of mindmeeknesslongsuffering

13 Forbearing one anotherand forgiving one anotherif any manhave a quarrel against anyeven as Christ forgave yousoalso do ye.

14 And above all these things put on charitywhich is the bondof perfectness.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your heartsto the whichalso ye are called in one bodyand be ye thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns andspiritual songssinging with grace in your hearts to theLord.

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deeddo all in the name ofthe Lord Jesusgiving thanks to God and the Father by him.

18 Wivessubmit yourselves unto your own husbandsas it is fitin the Lord.

19 Husbandslove your wivesand be not bitter against them.

20 Childrenobey your parents in all thingsfor this is wellpleasing unto the Lord.

21 Fathersprovoke not your children to angerlest they bediscouraged.

22 Servantsobey in all things your masters according to thefleshnot with eyeserviceas menpleasersbut in singlenessof heartfearing God

23 And whatsoever ye dodo it heartilyas to the Lordand notunto men

24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of theinheritancefor ye serve the Lord Christ.

25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which hehath doneand there is no respect of persons.
