For kingsand for all that are in authoritythat we may leada quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God ourSaviour
Who will have all men to be savedand to come unto theknowledge of the truth.
For there is one Godand one mediator between God and menthe man Christ Jesus
Who gave himself a ransom for allto be testified in duetime.
Whereunto I am ordained a preacherand an apostle I speakthe truth in Christand lie not a teacher of the Gentilesin faith and verity.
I will therefore that men pray every wherelifting up holyhandswithout wrath and doubting.
In like manner alsothat women adorn themselves in modestapparelwith shamefacedness and sobrietynot with broidedhairor goldor pearlsor costly array
Butwhich becometh women professing godlinesswith goodworks.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
But I suffer not a woman to teachnor to usurp authority overthe manbut to be in silence.
For Adam was first formedthen Eve.
And Adam was not deceivedbut the woman being deceived was inthe transgression.
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearingif theycontinue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
