Honour widows that are widows indeed.

But if any widow have children or nephewslet them learnfirst to shew piety at homeand to requite their parentsforthat is good and acceptable before God.

Now she that is a widow indeedand desolatetrusteth in God and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.

But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

And these things give in chargethat they may be blameless.

But if any provide not for his ownand specially for those ofhis own househe hath denied the faithand is worse than aninfidel.

Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescoreyears oldhaving been the wife of one man.

Well reported of for good worksif she have brought upchildrenif she have lodged strangersif she have washed thesaintsfeetif she have relieved the afflictedif she havediligently followed every good work.

Having damnationbecause they have cast off their firstfaith.

And withal they learn to be idlewandering about from houseto houseand not only idlebut tattlers also and busybodiesspeaking things which they ought not.

I will therefore that the younger women marrybear childrenguide the housegive none occasion to the adversary to speakreproachfully.

For some are already turned aside after Satan.

If any man or woman that believeth have widowslet themrelieve themand let not the church be chargedthat it mayrelieve them that are widows indeed.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of doublehonourespecially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

For the scripture saithThou shalt not muzzle the ox thattreadeth out the corn. AndThe labourer is worthy of hisreward.

Against an elder receive not an accusationbut before two orthree witnesses.

Them that sin rebuke before allthat others also may fear.

I charge thee before Godand the Lord Jesus Christand theelect angelsthat thou observe these things withoutpreferring one before anotherdoing nothing by partiality.

Drink no longer waterbut use a little wine for thy stomach ssake and thine often infirmities.

Some men s sins are open beforehandgoing before to judgmentand some men they follow after.
