Hebrews Chapter 1

1 Godwho at sundry times and in divers manners spake in timepast unto the fathers by the prophets

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Sonwhom hehath appointed heir of all thingsby whom also he made theworlds

3 Who being the brightness of his gloryand the express imageof his personand upholding all things by the word of hispowerwhen he had by himself purged our sinssat down on theright hand of the Majesty on high

4 Being made so much better than the angelsas he hath byinheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

5 For unto which of the angels said he at any timeThou art mySonthis day have I begotten theeAnd againI will be tohim a Fatherand he shall be to me a Son

6 And againwhen he bringeth in the firstbegotten into theworldhe saithAnd let all the angels of God worship him.

7 And of the angels he saithWho maketh his angels spiritsandhis ministers a flame of fire.

8 But unto the Son he saithThy throneO Godis for ever andevera sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thykingdom.

9 Thou hast loved righteousnessand hated iniquitythereforeGodeven thy Godhath anointed thee with the oil of gladnessabove thy fellows.

10 AndThouLordin the beginning hast laid the foundation ofthe earthand the heavens are the works of thine hands

11 They shall perishbut thou remainestand they all shall waxold as doth a garment

12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them upand they shall bechangedbut thou art the sameand thy years shall not fail.

13 But to which of the angels said he at any timeSit on myright handuntil I make thine enemies thy footstool

14 Are they not all ministering spiritssent forth to ministerfor them who shall be heirs of salvation
