Hebrews Chapter 3
Whereforeholy brethrenpartakers of the heavenly calling consider the Apostle and High Priest of our professionChristJesus
Who was faithful to him that appointed himas also Moses wasfaithful in all his house.
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honourthan the house.
For every house is builded by some manbut he that built allthings is God.
And Moses verily was faithful in all his houseas a servantfor a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after
But Christ as a son over his own housewhose house are weifwe hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firmunto the end.
Whereforeas the Holy Ghost saithTo day if ye will hear hisvoice
Harden not your heartsas in the provocationin the day oftemptation in the wilderness
When your fathers tempted meproved meand saw my worksforty years.
Wherefore I was grieved with that generationand saidTheydo alway err in their heartand they have not known my ways.
So I sware in my wrathThey shall not enter into my rest.
Take heedbrethrenlest there be in any of you an evil heartof unbeliefin departing from the living God.
But exhort one another dailywhile it is called To daylestany of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
For we are made partakers of Christif we hold the beginningof our confidence stedfast unto the end
While it is saidTo day if ye will hear his voiceharden notyour heartsas in the provocation.
For somewhen they had hearddid provokehowbeit not allthat came out of Egypt by Moses.
But with whom was he grieved forty yearswas it not with themthat had sinnedwhose carcases fell in the wilderness
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his restbut to them that believed not
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
