Hebrews Chapter 6

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christlet us go on unto perfectionnot laying again the foundationof repentance from dead worksand of faith toward God

Of the doctrine of baptismsand of laying on of handsand ofresurrection of the deadand of eternal judgment.

And this will we doif God permit.

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightenedandhave tasted of the heavenly giftand were made partakers ofthe Holy Ghost

And have tasted the good word of Godand the powers of theworld to come

If they shall fall awayto renew them again unto repentanceseeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afreshandput him to an open shame.

For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft uponitand bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it isdressedreceiveth blessing from God

But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejectedand isnigh unto cursingwhose end is to be burned.

Butbelovedwe are persuaded better things of youandthings that accompany salvationthough we thus speak.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour oflovewhich ye have shewed toward his namein that ye haveministered to the saintsand do minister.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligenceto the full assurance of hope unto the end

That ye be not slothfulbut followers of them who throughfaith and patience inherit the promises.

For when God made promise to Abrahambecause he could swearby no greaterhe sware by himself

SayingSurely blessing I will bless theeand multiplying Iwill multiply thee.

And soafter he had patiently enduredhe obtained thepromise.

For men verily swear by the greaterand an oath forconfirmation is to them an end of all strife.

Wherein Godwilling more abundantly to shew unto the heirs ofpromise the immutability of his counselconfirmed it by anoath

That by two immutable thingsin which it was impossible forGod to liewe might have a strong consolationwho have fledfor refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soulboth sure andstedfastand which entereth into that within the veil

Whither the forerunner is for us enteredeven Jesusmade anhigh priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
