Hebrews Chapter 10

For the law having a shadow of good things to comeand notthe very image of the thingscan never with those sacrificeswhich they offered year by year continually make the comersthereunto perfect.

For then would they not have ceased to be offeredbecausethat the worshippers once purged should have had no moreconscience of sins.

But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made ofsins every year.

For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goatsshould take away sins.

Wherefore when he cometh into the worldhe saithSacrificeand offering thou wouldest notbut a body hast thou preparedme

In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had nopleasure.

Then said ILoI comein the volume of the book it iswritten of me to do thy willO God.

Above when he saidSacrifice and offering and burnt offeringsand offering for sin thou wouldest notneither hadst pleasurethereinwhich are offered by the law

Then said heLoI come to do thy willO God. He taketh awaythe firstthat he may establish the second.

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering ofthe body of Jesus Christ once for all.

And every priest standeth daily ministering and offeringoftentimes the same sacrificeswhich can never take awaysins

But this manafter he had offered one sacrifice for sins foreversat down on the right hand of God

From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made hisfootstool.

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that aresanctified.

Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to usfor after thathe had said before

This is the covenant that I will make with them after thosedayssaith the LordI will put my laws into their hearts and in their minds will I write them

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Now where remission of these isthere is no more offering forsin.

Having thereforebrethrenboldness to enter into the holiestby the blood of Jesus

By a new and living waywhich he hath consecrated for usthrough the veilthat is to sayhis flesh

And having an high priest over the house of God

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscienceand ourbodies washed with pure water.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering for he is faithful that promised

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and togood works

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves togetheras themanner of some isbut exhorting one anotherand so much themoreas ye see the day approaching.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received theknowledge of the truththere remaineth no more sacrifice forsins

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fieryindignationwhich shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moseslaw died without mercy under two orthree witnesses

Of how much sorer punishmentsuppose yeshall he be thoughtworthywho hath trodden under foot the Son of Godand hathcounted the blood of the covenantwherewith he wassanctifiedan unholy thingand hath done despite unto theSpirit of grace

For we know him that hath saidVengeance belongeth unto meIwill recompensesaith the Lord. And againThe Lord shalljudge his people.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the livingGod.

But call to remembrance the former daysin whichafter yewere illuminatedye endured a great fight of afflictions

Partlywhilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproachesand afflictionsand partlywhilst ye became companions ofthem that were so used.

For ye had compassion of me in my bondsand took joyfully thespoiling of your goodsknowing in yourselves that ye have inheaven a better and an enduring substance.

Cast not away therefore your confidencewhich hath greatrecompence of reward.

For ye have need of patiencethatafter ye have done thewill of Godye might receive the promise.

For yet a little whileand he that shall come will comeandwill not tarry.

Now the just shall live by faithbut if any man draw backmysoul shall have no pleasure in him.

But we are not of them who draw back unto perditionbut ofthem that believe to the saving of the soul.
